What if Blizzard did this whole ARG and no one paid attention or bothered even trying to figure out clues?

I think that would be funny when after Sombra is released Blizzard just tweets, "We had this whole ARG thing set up for you and no one picked up the clues."

The reason Sombra is taking so long is because Blizzard decided to entirely rework her at some point along the line. When they realized that defense heroes were total shit but also unable to be buffed due to the complaints of the shitters that play this game, they decided to make Sombra a defense hero instead of a stealthy attack hero to try to alleviate the issue.

Not really, there are enough hints in the game and even a dialogue lines where Pharah tells Mercy she wants them to keep the skies clear together. This along with the Pharmercy brawl are heavy hints towards this ship being canon. Even if its wasn't originally intended to be, Blizz will go on and keep dropping hints about it until it becomes a thing because it would be great for publicity.
