While BB's do have a lot of range, and it's useful in the first stage of the match when teams deploy and everybody pokes each other. But as the match develop, battlelines begin to break up and players begin to spread. That's when you can use the opportunity to make a push (just make sure you're not alone in this. Press F7). At a range of around 12 km, you should be able to hit more things.

Also, use AP ammo. As a general rule for battleships:
>Shoot AP at cruisers
>Shoot AP at battleships
>Shoot HE at destroyers (though if you have AP loaded when a DD pops out, shoot him with that AP)

Just keep in mind that battleships in general are not all that accurate, not all your shells are going to land. Myogi is not a particularly good ship, since it only has 6 guns and they're arranged in a very bad setup, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't perform as well as you would. You should aim to do somewhere around 40k average damage, some matches more, some matches less; though don't stress yourself out too much about it.

Things get better once you get Kongo. You should also give the german BB line a try; they're very good and fairly easy to play and do well with.

They really need to put in a DD limit of 2-3 per team. Matches are just frustrating when both teams got 5-6 DDs running around, especially in t5-7 as nobody got radar there. You don't even get CVs to keep them in check anymore.

I just play my russian DDs now. They are so bullshit themselves that they balance out the other bullshit.

The t4 and t5 were pure fun even when stock, consistent damage, well armored, reasonably mobile and maneuverable.

The Bayern is just a gigantic turd in comparison. Guns are worse than pre-buffs Colorado's ever were, armor is utterly ineffective against the 9001 16" guns that you now face

and when you get to T9, Cit penning is pretty much a necessity, except if you have torps

German BBs at t4 and t5 do not really citpen other BBs very often.

But they do deal lots of normal AP damage.
At t6 you get 15" guns, those can citpen BBs somewhat reliably.

But the 12" guns citpen cruisers pretty reliably.

Premium ships are not strictly balanced as "weaker" or "stronger" than their tech tree counterparts. Premium ships are meant to be valuable to those who buy them, so they should be able to "perform."
British Royal Navy Light Cruisers will go into public testing soon, with a planned release by the end of September or early October.
Royal Navy Cruisers will typically be fast, have good concealment, and have lots of dual purpose artillery (good AA).
The ability to single fire torpedoes out of launchers is being tested alongside the release of Royal Navy Cruisers, as that was part of the naval doctrine. At the start, this will only be available on Royal Navy cruisers.
If the ability to single fire torpedoes "improves torpedo gameplay for British cruisers so much," then it could be expanded and given to all ships.
Arthur (Global Publishing Producer) himself is "scared" of how single fire torpedoes would work on destroyers.
They are not happy with the dynamics of Tier X gameplay.
Arthur commenting on Bastion: "I am not a big fan of Bastion as it currently looks. I think it needs a lot more polishing." Talk of more environmental changes (other than just "something that spots you and something that shoots you"). "More interactions." Talk of "captureable airbases."
