If everyone agrees I'm playing the right list then that's cool too, though. Only real argument I've had is that I should really be playing horserider instead of bow and squire I guess over a 2 drop, because I run abusive, but I'd rather have powerful 3/2's and bow is basically a 3 mana war axe. The other two are conditionally better but the rest of the time are worse, and I have plenty of sticky minions already so I'm hardly ever wanting for an abusive target. I'm also totally fine with playing abusive turn 1 if I need to.

Other than the squire/horserider thing I think the list is perfect, but constructive criticism is always appreciated, maybe I'm wrong.

No, templar is way better for midrange without pyro. She doesn't get hurt by equality that much, spawns 3 bodies that can attack 3 targets next turn, another (2) mana discount for solemn vigil, etc. If you want to play control dragon deck and use pyro to deal additional AoE 1 with FH, she loses all her value.

I reckon Blizz might be nerfing warden pretty soon. The value and tempo is just insane.

Infested wolf is insane and BBW just puts hunter over the top, it's just dumb how powerful it is, hunter is stickier than zoo now in a lot of regards with much much better finishing power and a win condition hero power. Highmane has always been considered basically legendary-tier in how good it is (and you get to play 2 of them), and now CotW can outright win games all by itself on turn 8. I've actually been surprised at how useful deadly shot can be, too. Bow is great even without secrets, though I'd probably play glaivezooka over it if it still existed.

On top of all that you are favored against dragon warrior (or just warrior in general), the most played deck/class in the format. What a time to be alive.

Totem Golem is pretty important to make trogg OP in most cases. Challenger is garbage now that avenge isn't in the format, honestly the deck mostly got by because pre-standard, pally had literally the best cards in almost every cost slot, challenger just put it over the top. There's a reason the Dr.1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 meme exists.

It didn't carry the deck, it was just in the right place at the right time. This is obvious considering challenger still exists and no one plays it anymore.

It was good because it topped off all of the insane shit paladin otherwise had. It was a constant uphill battle against a good secret pally draw, they'd drop a secretkeeper into something like noble+avenge and all of a sudden you're facing a 3/4 on turn 2 which you can't attack into or it just gets bigger, or curving chow into minibot into muster into shredder into loatheb/belcher and then mysterio put the final nail in the coffin. They could develop a huge, overpowered, sticky board, and if you didn't clear it literally every fucking turn they'd rape you once challenger hit the field. Attack into them? Noble+avenge, thanks for the boost, faggot. Don't attack? +1/+1 to all my guys, get fucked nerd.

It can't be good anymore and I already told you why. Paladin doesn't have all of the insane cards it used to curve out with, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the main reasons why the Standard format exists in the first place. It was that bad, especially after they nerfed warsong which completely fucked patron combo which was the one thing keeping secret paladin in check.

Honestly probably the single biggest reason now why it's basically unplayable though is the lack of avenge. Avenge was just that important because it combo'd with Noble Sac (which coincidentally came out at the same time as avenge and other secrets when mysterio would be dropped). Without shit like muster for battle or shredder or avenge no one has anything to fear from attacking into a 2/1 taunt.

But yea, they're not great, but if you consider that having an almost neverending hand (that has the potential to be cheaper) on the most tempo based class in the game, you're 'asking' for a fast deck. You could go full aggro, but why have shitty little minions when pirates have better battlecries and are harder to kill. Since Rogue is one of the two classes that can use them, I would at least give it a shot.
Peddler won't change much, it's just like a personal Thaurrisan that you can have two-of. But because of how situational the battlecry is, then the vanilla stats mean you can also play it on curve.

idk, it's been working well in initial testing. If it can beat turn 6 highmane (dealt with it using skulker and running into the 3/4 free secrets hunter card with a bear trap up on my side) and turn 8 call of the wild in the same game I'd say it's pretty solid.

Main problem is going to be figuring out how to fit peddler in, everything feels like it belongs. I kinda figured the 6 drops since then you could just focus on being a tempo deck that tops out at 5 mana, but sylvanas and cairne sure can be nice sometimes, even though 9 times out of 10 you're closing the game out by turn 7 and no later than 10. Maybe drop pillager for peddler? No idea atm. This list feels real good though and is a lot of fun with all of the stealing, I haven't been missing azure drake and I haven't even come close to running out of cards, surviving against hunter shit is more difficult than maintaining a hand.

Its just like playing Arena, you stick to curve and if you get board cleared you lose.

So if you are up against someone who can face smash you drop a board clear, you cant catch up.

I am sure Reddit got to this before me but just saying, if you play Harrison Jones vs. The Curator its pretty funny.

Like I said, this is pre-peddler. idk what 2 cards I'll replace with peddler when it comes out but sylvanas and cairne are very likely going to be the ones, despite how good they are. Would rather have the deck focus on curving low and vomiting out a bunch of cards while tempo-killing all of the opponents shit, replacing them with peddlers would have the deck top out at 5 instead of 6 mana which is nice if you want to be playing multiple cards in the mid to late game.
