Is it normal when you start a battle for the defender to get two shots off really quickly every time? If the primary attack is a strong one I pretty much have to swipe twice every time a new defender comes up or my health gets chunked.

first of all the diglett doesnt even go in the gym, and they only get to easily take out however many weak defenders you drop in it

if you really want to do it just for a fat gym, you can put 3 bubble dudes in, stack it to level 10 and put 7 strong guys backing it up
the 3 bubble dudes will be knocked out easily taking it back to level 7, but the rest will just defend normally as though you had taken it to level 7 any other way

How does it feel knowing that your game will die when winter comes? Or when they release Gen 2 and there's still pokemon-specific candy?

I love the automatic assumption from you faggots that if you get the new "Unable to authenticate" message that you used third-party software or botted. I didn't. I got banned. And paid around $100 for coins so I could have more space and carry more items. I mean, I get it, we want to assume Niantic isn't just randomly banning people... but it seems like it is. If they give us some sort of criteria, like things that could trigger the ban? Then we could react by not doing those things. The only things I can think that remotely did it was when I went to Lake Erie for a week, or how my cellphone dropped reception a lot while going through rural PA. Or the fact I live in rural PA and have Boost Mobile - not the best reception, but it's cheap and I -need- to watch my funds closely. And yeah, I was able to splurge on buying coins once or twice, but that was a rare occurrence.

Some background: I'm disabled, so I'm stuck at home in a rural area most of the time as I can't drive. Asperger's, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, seizures, and torn ligaments in my ankles. Also don't leave my own home often because I have to use a cane and ankle braces, which is embarrassing. Only took a trip north in PA for a while, then to town a few times a week for six weeks when I'd taxi in for physical therapy. All requests were marked solved. It took a lot of work (for me, I mean) to get to Lv 25, as well as the Pokemon I got on my trip. I don't and can't just up and go to these places even if I start playing a new account.

Look at the people theorycrafting shit like the Bubblexploit. They'll always need some puzzle to cheese. Problem is as you said, when everybody else suffers too because of the anti-bot measures.

Implementing a working tracking/scanning system isn't going to stop the masses from scanning when the norm of play is sit down somewhere and refuse to budge an inch and only leave when the scanner they keep pinging gives something interesting. go in as straight of a line as possible, find point it disappears off tracker
go back to halfway between those points, travel perpendicular one direction
you'll either head straight to it or if it disappears off tracker, turn 360 degrees and moonwalk back and you'll find him

its not an exact method since they occassionally disappear for a bit even when you're still in the 200m range, often when you're walking in the wrong direction
you need to know all the little nuances that can affect it so you don't get false positives of it being out of range and stuff, but its worth doing the method for rare spawns

A $10 pack of coins is 1400 coins.

An incubator is 150 coins which is a little over a dollar but let's just round down for simplicity's sake because you are probably nickel and diming this instead of going for $100 packs at which point you have a problem that is greater than low incubator-value-to-cash ratio.

Now you use that incubator to hatch 3 eggs that you could've hatched for free if you weren't in such a rush to hatch them. Now you have three extra Pokemon and some candies. Was it worth paying a dollar for each incubator so you could get 3 shitmons?
The answer is no.

There are 42 possible Pokemon in the 5km eggs, getting the one you want is a 1/42 chance which is 14 incubators minimum, aka. $14-$15.

There are 14 possible Pokemon in the 2km eggs, getting one of a starter or Pikachu is a little over 25% chance. But you're not going to stop there, you need the evos now so since you get shit for candies from a 2km egg, you will be grinding like 20 eggs for each starter (assuming 6 candies per egg but that's really generous). That's 14 eggs for a particular starter egg * 20 starter eggs / 3 eggs per incubator which is 93.333 incubators for a final evo starter which is almost $100. $100 to grind the shit out of 2km eggs to get all three final starter evos and probably at least one Raichu.

There are 17 possible Pokemon in the 10km eggs, most of them worthless dex fillers, and getting the ones you want will be 1/17 so you need about 6 incubators per 10km Pokemon you want, aka. $9. And you probably don't get 50 candies in one egg so you will need multiple to get your rare evolutions, more if eggs are your only source of Dratinis.

And this is all assuming they are equal chance, and not something like Eevees and shitmons being stacked at 40-60% to keep you grinding more eggs and incubators to feed your gambling addiction.
