Finished Anzu's route. Cute girl. Lots of cute moments. The drama seemed unfulfilled and I'm clearly missing half of the story here, which I assume will be cleared up int he other routes.

Also felt like the route-drama resolved a bit too quickly, but I suppose that's better than dragging. Was enjoyable. Top-tier dandere for sure.

SukiSuki3 is fairly plain, but it's good and the girls are enjoyable. Top tier production values too aside from the somewhat iffy animation on a few H scenes. It's also a surprisingly funny title.

Looking at her VAs list I think I've only checked out three other titles she's in. I'm not particularly fond of any of them. I had a similar realization about another VA recently but I can't remember who. At least her voice doesn't grate on me the way Akane's does.

I THINK Nanaka's route gets dragged down by, you guessed it, Koko later on. I can't remember for sure since going by my old saves I haven't read DCII in just under five years.

Didn't bother spending much time with the Plus version, but from what I saw the E-mote was very lackluster. The H animations are passable, but the sprites move and look awkward. They clearly only did the bare minimum and as a result I'd say it's straight up worse than the original release. I didn't bother looking at the options for long, but I don't think there's any way to turn E-mote off either, and I've also read elsewhere that there isn't any option to do so.

As far as extra content goes, I don't think there's any. The website advertises it coming with the extra H scenes patch, but that has been available for the original release since long ago.

In short, pretty disappointing. I mean, for the most part it's still the same good game, but if you're interested in Clover Day's, I would personally suggest sticking with the original release unless you really want the "IT MOVES!" factor.

you don't have to be writing top-tier literature for moege, but for the relationships to be interesting and convincing you do need to put forward at least a little bit of effort, especially towards characterization.

Koirizo has shit characters, shit development, and shit drama. and it's all rushed in routes which only last a few hours, there's no breathing room whatsoever and it's impossible to take seriously.

even in moege where something doesn't need to be complex, you at least want to be invested in what is occuring in the game, but in Koirizo jackshit is happening.

it's a big issue if the rest of the series isn't confirmed, but if it has been confirmed then there's really no problem with it, see Monster Girl Quest.

However there have been a small handful of cases where developers of episodic content have simply dropped the series as a whole due to lack of sales or financial difficulty and you never get to see an ending to it.

I don't mind one girl getting screwed over, I just hate how the pace always grinds to a halt and the protagonist just refuses to make up his mind or accept the situation until some arbitrary point, after which he goes out with one and the story just ends there. So I guess I don't mind love triangles that are A > B > C so much as just focusing on A > B < C.

Anyway, DCII: I guess I got Anzu and Nanaka a little mixed up with their confessions. Nanaka's the one that goes 'Damn it Koko, if you're not making a move I will.' With that done I can check out Minatsu and then skip through Koko to get to the good stuff.

It was pretty solidly mediocre in my estimation. Some parts were okay and the H-scenes were hilarious but the protagonist was one of the most irritating pussies I've ever seen and the drama in the routes I did was fairly bad (one route has the central conflict being about the girl refusing to talk to you for days because you threw a ping pong match against her, for example)

I only did Yuma, Sasara, and Tama-nee, though. Not sure if any of the other routes are better.
