Beastmen is well worth it though if you're a fan. They're the best horde faction by far, and the mini-campaign is actually pretty damn nice.

I took most of the badlands by turn 50 on my Dwarf campaign, i just stopped played because it was so boring curb stomping everything with quarrelers.

I just find the Dwarf so un-fun, they are slow and provide no challenge.

Their units are just a variety of manlet with shield who stands there whilst your range kill the enemy.

Empire Campaign is fucking balls to the walls hard, its constant war with every nation, chaos orcs and beastmen constantly at your gates there is no way to hide. With dwarf once you control the bad lands all you need to do is stick a couple armies at the 2 entrances to your land and wait for Archaon to die.

Fuck, it's starting to happen. New stuff is coming out that has more interesting campaign and battle mechanics than the base game stuff. Not much CA can do to fix that without expanding the map though.

Also, dorfs are just very passive and defensive in TT. Aside from gyrocopters there isn't that much in terms of speed you can add. Maybe giant goats like they did in Hobbit, but that's pushing it.

So in TW: Warhammer’s case, we had our four main playable races sorted, and we’ve planned for Chaos to have a big role to play later in the trilogy. But we really wanted Chaos Warriors in the main game, even without DLC – to give a big, bad end of game "boss" enemy Race for all players. But we couldn’t do that within the resources for the main game. So we added it as the pre-order incentive that also gets sold on day one – making Chaos Warriors fully playable but also giving us the extra resources to add them as an Ai race for everyone.

So is adding chaos as a pre-order incentive "cut content"? I think the opposite is true. If we didn't add it to the pre-order, it would have been DLC later on and not in the game at release.

We thought we'd done well. Maybe there is a better solution - we're listening to all suggestions for the future. Maybe pre-orders are becoming so toxic they will stop working altogether. You'd hope not though, as it quite simply means those incentives will end up just being paid DLC after launch.

Cheers, GW has released some really nice start collecting boxes recently, if you grab them from element games they aren't too pricey (As in you can get £80 worth of Lizardmen stuff for £42), historical minis are also super cheap compared to GW and are actually pretty high quality (Check out Warlord games)
