I'm pretty sure the affected level in the magic panel is lower than it should be, at least as far as single-cast. I can't see the values for double-cast but I'm almost certain double-cast affected level is too low.

Something else I only just noticed while testing, is that illusion spells will sometimes succeed and sometimes fail with the message "too powerful for x spell". Is this normal? I never noticed this before; I always just assumed that when it said "too powerful" it meant it would 100% fail

You only need to run FNIS once per batch of animation mods, as it controls a library of animations your character can use, or something close enough that it's what I presumed is going on. Just remember that most of the great features they pitch are going to be utter lies.

Skyrim was meant to get this really elaborate economy and tons of ways to do quests. Oblivion's radiant AI was supposedly smart enough to play and win the game on its own.

They will name a feature radiant, it will be hyped to hell, and it will turn out to be shit. Moreso if they need to convince their fans that they totally learned from obsidian this time (the only thing they'll learn is to not hire a studio with actual writers to write their sequels as it makes Beth look bad).
