lone wolf soloer here. I have played MMORPGs solo for many years. I usually get really bored and quit. I was about to go into my normal transfer server, don't find what I'm looking for and eventually quit the game phase that I go through, but I recently found some awesome people that I genuinely enjoy hanging out with. suddenly my enjoyment of the game went up dramatically. I couldn't believe it either, and I've always said I don't give a fuck about people, but I was wrong. good people that you enjoy are so much. I was missing this the entire time, and I'm finally happier playing this MMORPG than I have been with any game before it.

Just do the weekly quests for and spend all your esoterics on umbrite because you need a shitload of it and esos are the only way to get it.

what's the quickest way to farm esos for those aether oils and if I start with 0 this week how hard will it be to get the 5 that I need before the end of the week? I get one pretty much free from the CT weekly so that only leaves 4... or almost 8k eso. fuck.

It's really not that bad. Just do your roulettes for the umbrite. If you have a crafter/gatherer, scrips make sands easy and if not, blow through hall your level allowances getting vilekin and greed on all dungeon loot to turn it into your GC to buy moonstones with seals.

I agree with you to an extent. Some of the raids are designed well, save for the majority of Gordias (Savage). Playing with friends is also fun, and the static I'm in now has some wonderful moments shooting the shit.

It's all about knowing when it's going to happen. There are two points during Swindler where he'll do two Magicked Marks back-to-back. One is right at the beginning, about five seconds after the pull, and the other happens after the Snipers, where he does Height -> Height + Enumeration -> Magicked Mark -> Bio-arithmetics -> Magicked Mark -> Bio-Arithmetics. Every other Magicked Mark and Bio-arithmetics he does pretty much happens in isolation and is easy to heal through without any real mitigation.

If you're on DRK then you never really need your tank stance (assuming you have a NIN for the initial Shadewalker). Just load up a Dark Arts before the pull, then pop Dark Mind somewhere around your second GCD, and it'll be up for both Marks. Then after you kill the snipers, get ready to load up another Dark Arts during Height+Enumeration, and pop Dark Mind right as his cast bar finishes, and you'll catch both Marks while DADM is up.


If you're on a different tank class or you want to be extra safe, you can just make those the two parts of that fight where you have your tank stance up.

Yeah, the Bio+Mark after the Snipers at the end of the fight is what rekt me last time I tried, but my gear's a bit better now than it was then and I have a somewhat better understanding of the fight. My group doesn't have a NIN though (instead opting for DRG+MNK) so threat is a little bit more of an issue. Except for 7S. 7S is perfect for stance dancing shenanigans and I love it for that reason.
