Cherry on the top is how he's using Radiant Destruction as an example of someone not standing a chance. Because that can't in any way be a sign of Radiant Destruction being strong as fuck.

Valkyn Skoria is decent on any build that relies on a lot of dots. I don't think there's one PvP set everyone goes after in the same sense every stam dps goes after Vicious Ophidian.

But a decent set for burst damage in PvP is Mad alchemist + Molag Kena.

You won't miss any quests but you won't get the "ah yea I know what you're talking about". You get aditional dialogues about what they've been doing since.

If you skip DC it will affect a quest where you are helping a pirate gal finding her sister.

If you skip Orsinium it will affect a quest where you help out a dunmer brother and sister finding work.

It's not exactly quick money but it is easy money. Crafting four green foods/drinks with 5 sell value costs only 2 ingredients. You can buy the ingredients for 10g each, the results sell for 20g. So essentially you can double your money.

The bottleneck is medium ingredients: cheese, flour, garlic, millet, saltrice, seasoning, ginger, honey, isinglass, lemon, metheglin, seaweed. There's shitloads of other ingredients for sale all the time but you can't crafft shit without the medium ingredients. So, first you search guild stores for any medium ingredients. When you find some, look for ingredients that are used in 5g or 4g value recipes which use the medium ingredient you bought. Using the CookeryWiz addon makes this easy because you can keep your cooking window open while looking at a guild store and queue up recipes to cook as you buy the ingredients so you don't have to memorize what recipes you needed to cook for what amount. Just queue and forget.

Once you're done buying, just go to a cooking station and cook. This is time-consuming part. Cooking a queue worth tens of thousands of gold when sold to vendors takes several hours. So you can go afk and maybe play other games if your PC can handle it but you can't play ESO while cooking obviously.

My tanking skillset goes like this:

Off hand, you can run a resto or destro staff based on your tastes, and keeps heals or dps up after you've taunted as much as you need to.

Following up on this-- the big thing you want to focus on is keeping Fragmented Shield, Volatile Armor, and your taunt up as much as possible. Burning Talons is great for your party to synergize with, and can hold mobs in place long enough for you to taunt them. Inhale is a decent AoE that also restores magicka based on how many targets it hits.

Nord is not viable for spellcasting or damage dealing of any sort. Even with right gear you'll be gimped if you want to be good at what you do.

You should go for Altmer, Breton, Argonian or dunmer if you want to be healer/off tank and get the most out of your racial passives.

I think the moment they announce Solstheim, Vvardenfell or the Telvanni isles is the moment I'll break down and get this game, it seems better mechanically than any TES made yet.

You can do pretty much whatever the fuck you want but once you reach endgame content like veteran dungeons and trials you gotta be good at what you do otherwise you'll be letting people down. I am not much an autistic minmaxer myself, I just bring out the best from what I chose to do.

Let's look at Altmer racial passives

Spellcharge at level 3 gives you 9% magicka recovery: so with mag recovery gems you hit 1100, 9% bonus gives you 1199 magicka recovery.

gift of magnus at rank 3 gives you 10% increased magicka so let's say with full magicka gear you hit 33000 magicka, 10% bonus give you 3300 extra magicka.

3300 means you'll be casting 2 extra healing spells. Which doesn't seem much, but you regenerate 1199 mana per second. My favorite restoration staff skill is combat prayer, very useful for quick saves, which costs 2940 magicka if you don't have any cost reduction glyphs and such. Meaning you'll be able to cast 1 combat prayer per 1.5 seconds with your regen, which could actually be more depending on your set and jewelry. This is just an example how it works, I didn't include champion points because that's too much math.

That edge makes an altmer healer better than a nord healer. Now that I look at this post I sounded pretty autistic probably but there you have it. I hope this helps you understand the relevancy of racial passives.

Damn I love my magplar build.
Currently using 5x heavy Reactive Armor; I'm not sure if I ever go back to using any other sets, but it's expensive.
It feels like it has it all, apart from the mobility: in PvP I can deal decent damage (mainly because of skill rotation and things like Radiant Destruction as my spell damage stat is pretty low; only use 1 buff to it from the Imperial Wrath set, as well as Minor Sorcery from Dawn's Wrath abilities and sometimes Major Sorcery from magicka pots or ally buffs), survive sieges, survive a few enemy players pounding on me, and on top of that I can heal and purge allies.
Feels good man.

Why are the simplest abilities the hardest to counter?
I'm a magicka templar, I don't have the speed to avoid it or stamina do dodge, and I can't quite keep close enough for it not to launch or run through him because I need some space to launch my sweeps anyway.
This happens pretty much only with really good players as the rest don't quite have the damage to wear me down, are worse at positioning and don't animation cancel.

Roleplaying has always been a part of every MMORPG for as long as there have been MMOs. It's nothing new, nothing to be surprised about and definitely not bizzare. I personally have never done it, nor wanted to, but I don't really mind it either.

All dungeons are doable if everyone knows what they are doing. However when I pair up with people to do pledges and stuff vCoA, vCoS and v Elden Hollow turns into nightmare rollercoaster which you can't get off of.

You need to have good damage to handle valkyn skoria and you need your healer to dodge disabling effects. So it is not all that bad. However veteran velidreth will ruin pubbies because they keep walking into spores and can't grasp the idea of ground spike attack. Which is bullshit desu but not unavoidable.

Veteran elden hollow is on 1000 layers of bullshit, last boss throwing healer and tank continuously into the air, dropping fire blankets around and replenishing health because DD's are too busy trying to stay alive to kill The Feast.

I am aware that veteran dungeons are meant to be challenging but bosses with weird mechanics drag the fights on for a very long time and you usually soak the damage and trust in your healer to keep you alive or just taking it and hoping that your healer can keep the other DD or tank alive enough to ressurect you rather than trying to dodge 30000 damage attacks with extremely short reaction allowance, which you didn't see it coming anyway because you were busy trying to dodge 10 different AoE's with 5k damage a second..

To be fair ESO is different than most MMO's in that aspect. Most MMO's have looser zones and more loose questlines, which you can get in and out of. ESO is fairly limiting with what you can and can't do, that can be boring. One Tamriel is a good start to break the monotony of alliance restricted storlines. Still One Tamriel alone won't be enough for that, zenimax needs to release a free dlc overhauling current vanilla zones, filling up the blanks with more real side quests which you can choose to do or ignore without worrying that you might be forced to grind mobs to get your last 2 levels.

That one attack broke a friend of mine who have been tanking since the beta. He have just given up on it, saying he's getting too old for this shit and his reaction times means he's enough past his prime that he won't be able to dodge all heavy attacks in case the battle with Spidertitties drags on. The fact he's suppose to see the indication from the boss while there's a fuckton of other abilities. God help you trying to see it if a templar healer decide to lay a lasting healing on the ground with the same colour.
