Why is it that people always complain about monsters and mechanics instead of adapting to them?

If the game creators tailor made MH the way you wanted it, it wouldn't be thier MH anymore.

Never once when playing did I ever day this is a trash monster. I said to myself, this is how the monster works and if I get rekt, I need to learn from it and adapt.

Having to account for attacks like instacharges the entire fight, and creating a system of risk-reward where some zones around the monster have longer, safer openings but expose less vulnerable hit zones, and some zones around the monster have shorter, more dangerous openings and expose their most vulnerable hit zones, makes the fight more interesting than a monster where every single attack has a visible windup and you are always safe no matter where you are or what hit zone you're after, because you can dodge every single attack by reaction.

It "drags out the fight" that monsters move around and attack, too. Would the game be better off if every monster was permanently under the effects of a Flash Bomb? Or would it have to be a permanent Pitfall Trap to really stop things from being dragged out?

Is there a trick to farming charms? I have done so many coal runs and I have never ever seen a decent atk charm. There are certain abilities that I see repeatedly and some I never see.

Since I'm apparently the one of the 2 mhg players to S rank Gypceros arena, here is what you do

pick the fighter, your primary damage is actually meleeing

use Comet to chase Gypceros, when it charges up the flash you need to get behind it and guard the flash

mash X once you guard the flash and aim the jump attack on the tail/body

everything else is just general Gypceros pattern reading. Oh, if you get poisoned it's simply over. The Acorn animation kills your chances at S rank unless if you get lucky

Holding Seltas and Kecha to HR in Generations is probably the most baffling decision they made in a game that's full of weird shit.

The game is already so starved for early-game hunts that Village 2-star has literally like twice as many gathering quests as large monster hunts, and I could swear that they actually nerfed some of the other mid-LR monsters down from where they were in 3U/4U just to fill in the gap.

I think GL is shit in its current state, but Quick Sheath was always nice to have back then as QoL.
