There's no consequence. And since there's no real marketplace (like its annoying and convoluted to go back to a solar system you've already been in) There's currently no real use for money. Money gets you two things, slots for your character, and a higher slot shit, the latter of which you can get for free with more slots faster by just looking for crashed ships, Former of which you can max out within an hour.

So what's up with ship prices? I saved up about 1.5 mil to get my second ship, which had 26 slots. Fuckkk yea, I wasnt even on the Atlus path or anything. The planet I was on had hostile sentinels and a bunch of Gravitino Balls scattered around so if you find a planet that has rare materials and hostile sentinels that might increase you chance of finding the v2/v3 passes.

Has anyone ever had issues with collecting resources, specifically gold? There's a billion gold deposits on this planet, but I can only seem to harvest the top part of the nuggets. The gold at the bottom, when I destroy it doesn't yield any gold at all

Another issue I have is that the "core" of the deposit isn't destroyable AT ALL, despite apparently being gold, but the outside of it is. This one went down miles

I did all 10 on the same planet. had extreme storms on this one moon all the time and it was the first one where I could learn Gek, so I just ran around to read knowledge stones. didn't take THAT long (ok it kinda did).

If you hit your scanner it will only grid the mineral rich parts of the deposit, so you can see what you should bother breaking down.

As for the indestructible cores, those only appear on larger deposits. You still get way more than you would from a regular deposit taking the outside. Those things are massive and relatively rare.
