The objective of this jam is for the participants to create any kind of game where sexually stimulating content is the primary focus of the game. Mildly lewd ("ecchi") games and cute-lewd games are also acceptable! The particular game mechanics, genre, level of sexual explicitness and fetishes represented are entirely up to the participants.

Any kind of lewd game is welcome, from text based to 3d virtual reality games, and anyone is welcome to join in!

In addition, just for fun, a special lewd mystery prize (!) will be awarded to the developer of the highest rated submission when the jam ends.

So I've been going back and thinking about switching between mouselook and UI mouse (ie mouse is for clicking buttons, not looking). I originally wanted the feature but I couldn't think of good keybindings to support it.

WASD is for movement, which led me to E for attack and F for interact. This works great for mouselook. In the other mode, normally Q and E would be Turn Left/Right, but that clashes with E. So then A and D would have to be turning, and strafing would have to be eliminated. I'm still not even thrilled with E being attack, but I'm not sure what else it could be. Mouse-click works, but it's more convenient to have a key you can just hold down to attack 50 times in a row. In the original game, arrow keys are for movement and A attacks, which isn't really acceptable by modern standards as you need a third hand for the mouse.

Finished making 3d model for the rapier weapon (will texture it next). I’ve been only using a placeholder 3d model until now.

The swept hilt extends upwards in a spiral fashion, until going straight up as the blade itself. Each spiral act as one-half of the blade. It's similar to the Evangelion Longinus spear.

I'm trying to create a porn game, and I'm trying to come up with ideas for erotic gameplay while your character works his way up to having sex with the woman. I want the player to be fapping while they play--I've seen too many games where the gameplay is solid but detracts from the point of a porn game.

Right now I'm thinking the day-to-day gameplay will involve mind control, with the player tinkering with her mind, either increasing her lust levels or implanting sexual ideas. A tech tree determining which ideas can be implanted may be used.

It works better in context, which agdg doesn't provide. Even then, people often won't think much of it, which is sometimes the best you can hope for (people will notice if something sounds "bad"). People who don't do audio have no idea what goes into it and even those who do probably won't be interested in how long I've been tweaking this EQ or this envelope for a .5 second long sound.

Just do a Unreal Engine 4 tutorial with an emphasis on programming and you'll learn to use C++ for a specific thing and hopefully have fun in the process.

If you're good at sculpting then sure.

Ideally you'd sculpt a high-poly model, then use that to generate a normal map to apply to an optimized low-poly mesh for use in your game.

I have never seen an RPG Maker game that didn't scream, "this game was made in RPG Maker."

Show me a single one that isn't immediately obvious it's an RPG Maker game. Which is bad because 50% of people have a stigma with RPG Maker and the other 40% have an expectation of low quality and will get mad if you try to charge (assuming you're trying to go commercial even if it's $1).

The tools work but honestly it would be 100x better to learn Game Maker.

the thing you need to improve on is the values .
It has to do with which color frequencies travel further so colors in the back should be less saturated but more importantly the values should be allot less intense.

For instance those mountains in the back , you made them pretty dark, but in reality they would probably be a really light shade of blue that almost fades into the sky.
Your colors are like your weakest point I 'd say.
And in pixelart colors are really important..

Also reee you should clean up your lines bro.
I know its totally annoying , but iits the way to do it.

Yea, I always felt like tying movement to the grid was a little frustrating. The interaction is tied to the tile so that the player can interact with the tile in front of them or interact with any of the tiles around them using the mouse. That was the way Stardew Valley did it and I thought it was pretty clever.

I started learning to program by making flash games with Actionscript, I did it because it was fun. I now work as a web developer and make games in my spare time because its different enough from work programming. I'm learning how to write shaders in Cg right now, and its fucking ez, because despite Flash not having shaders it doesn't actually matter at all.

I never would have stayed engaged, learned or had fun by learning how to program through dry theory and fizzbuzz exercises. I need to see practical results..

Fixed the targeting AI for hull-mounted weapons as well. Now they fire more reliably at targets that are moving sideways from the shooter's point of view, and the algorithm is a lot more accurate as well. They also react to user attack orders a lot more reliably.

Webm shows one gauss boat changing targets quickly according to attack orders.

This is how I normally model objects. I don't start with a cube or any basic shape and subdivide it.

Instead I start with a single vertex, extrude it to make an edge, and keep extruding to make lines. I draw silhouettes of shapes this way, then draw more lines that are more or less spaced apart from each other equally. Then I fill up the space with quads.

Progress has been slow for six months or so, I've been busy with school and later my summer job. We did change window management away from Visual Studio's designer finally though, and moved audio from OpenAL to XNA, which seems to not crash constantly on Win 10.

We haven't put out new demos in a while because we thought we would first fix our last remaining determinism issues, but they turned out to be very difficult to find. Multiplayer is doesn't desync as long as you play singlethreaded - multithreading breaks multiplayer for now.

Still messing with colors. Removed a lot of unnecessary faces and got it below my desired poly count. Weight painting seems to be in good shape. UV could use some more work, but It's good for now.

My aims: Having lesser amount of enemies at a time (compared to most action games) but making them a little bit "smarter". Giving fair variations on each enemy type, and giving each type a "gimmick" or some ace-up-in-the-sleeve. Careful thought on the placement of enemies in the level. In your project settings under the inputs you will see that you can add joysticks or buttons as either input or axis mappings.

An Axis Mapping continually fires (like EventTick). So gamepad Y axis mapping will constantly fire with a value of 0 if your joystick is neutral, 1 if it's forward, -1 if it's backwards.

A long time ago I wrote a wrapper around the winapi console functions, but one of the problems I encountered was that the windows console (in XP) was shit and not hardware accelerated, so you would end up with a lot of flickering as things were redrawn. It got worse at high draw rates so you could sort of mitigate it by not rendering faster than the refresh rate, but there would still be flickering. I ended up writing a library that implements the same functionality as the winapi but instead of rendering to a console window, it gets rendered into a D3D or OpenGL context. This eliminates the flickering and it's (more or less) a dropin replacement for the original API. Dwarf Fortress uses the same technique.

Implementing this yourself leads to the ability to do some pretty cool stuff by the way. For example, in my library there is a way to intercept and transform character data as it is being written, so implementing wavy text is as simple as taking characters as they come in and setting their Y position to Y + sin(X+T)*M instead. In a normal script, you declare variables before starting any functions. For example:

public class whatever : MonoBehaviour {
int myNumber;
void Start () {

}

If the variables are public, you can assign them through the inspector, which can be very useful. My question is: is there a way to do this with arrays? You can declare them like any other variables, but to my knowledge you can't set the size until you are inside a function, so you can't assign any values through the inspector.

This would work:

public class whatever : MonoBehaviour {
public int[] myArray;
void Start () {
myArray = new int[30];
}
}

But you wouldn't be able to assign the values.
This, on the other hand, doesn't work:

public class whatever : MonoBehaviour {
public int[] myArray = new int[30];
void Start () {
//stuff
}

This reminds me. Anyone else ran into the problem of enemies moving in the same direction as their bullets and having the bullets bunch up as a result? I'm thinking the best practices are simply to make sure movement in that direction is relatively slow, but I'm interested in hearing of other solutions.

You are able to initialize variables in their declaration including arrays. This is useful if you want to have a default value in the inspector. If you do not do so it will default to a null array until the inspector is opened, and then an empty array is allocated. Through the inspector you can modify or resize the array.

Both of your code examples declaring an array produce an array that is modifiable in the inspector.

Depending on the velocity of the enemy that can be a very significant change in velocity for the bullets. The result might be good if the bullets begin at that velocity and slow down to the normal bullet velocity though.
