Just reinstalled UT2004 to kill time between seasons and holy shit overwatch is casual. I started at 3rd highest difficulty and I gotta say I've never seen opponents this smart in overwatch ever. Honestly, I've never had a problem killing tanks as Widow, except maybe Reinhardt.

Probably the worst problems are when people that can deal actual damage show up. Reaper, Genji, and Pharah are problematic, and a Tracer that slips up behind me can basically delete me.

Straight snipers are pretty shit in this game. Ana's only the exception because her entire kit is amazing.

Plant turrets near the enemy spawn, but not obvious enough to get them detected.
That way you can charge your teleporter in the first minute.

I dont really use the microwave tactic, because it rarely ever works, instead, once the turrets at the enemy spawn have been destroyed, I start placing them around flanks to know if anyone is trying to buttfuck us.

When it comes to close combat, I try to jump them from above and abuse the enemy barriers (Mei's ice wall and Winston shield help you to build charge before engaging)

As far as I know, her mine can only affect one foe, and if you're going to buff it to make it sleep/stun the person that trips it, you'd put it on a longer cooldown so that you can't just spam it on a chokepoint for free kills. At best you'd get one every 20 seconds, which is what you should probably be getting anyway.

A movement penalty isn't good enough for what the mine is SUPPOSED to do, which is help alert you to and head off flankers so they can't sneak up on you.

Take Anubis A, for example. There's a couple of good nests there, and even a good spot to place your mine where it can't be easily hit and will usually be tripped. A Reaper or Genji with a movement penalty has already killed you before you've even fully unscoped. A Tracer probably just rewound it away and proceeded to not give a shit.

The mine needs to do two things to be effective:
>Alert you to the presence of an enemy.
>Give you a good chance to escape from that enemy so you can hide, reposition yourself, and try again.
