Elf ruins unlocks at 40 and 1 to 2 stars is easy even if you don't have any gear. 3 to 4 stars might be pretty difficult depending on class. Gruff is a completely different story if you're not geared.

Bludgeon is a cheaper gear setup that's just as good

Zanbato gives you skill damage boost to certain skills when charged on top of having the highest patk from slayer weapons

Katana boosts your damage for cancelling skills

Those last two are better once you have enough gear to potentially burst shit in a single rotation.

M.Nen's generally pretty tight on skills, but as long as you don't really overlevel anything you should have enough to max everything you normally need. Lightning Leg is a fantastic filler skill, I personally don't use the doppels at all because they lack the range that F.Nen's have and Haitai is a fantastic burst come 2nds. Nen's a hold so leaving it at one is fine. The only things you shouldn't be maxing are Overlord Spiral Blade and Spear, so as long as you actually stay on level don't go too crazy with the overleveled skills you'll be fine.

I generally leave it at 2 because I had the extra SP left over but I wouldn't call it "good" by any means. It's mainly just a fluff hold with some interesting potential for power, feels good for groups since it essentially is the same as F.Graps grab except on a much longer cooldown and does a lot more damage.

It's usually better to farm for 80 halidoms since the 85s take so many fragments. You get fragments from doing the scenario mode, 85 halidom frags are from Castle of the Dead, 80 frags are from powerplant. You can also get frags/equipment by running the dark elf dungeons. What class are you?

Sorry, got confused since I'm also shitposting about gearswaps.
Farm up/grab halidoms and run OV for now. If M.Striker is anything like F.striker you want to get 6pc brutal tango for now, you can get 3pc diablo blow for the swaps later. You can get three or four chron pieces for that with all the events going on right now, so that will be a big boost. If you have trouble with OV, ask around your guild and see if anyone is nice enough to carry you. After that, or while you're doing that, go for gracia armor.

The [Otherverse] questline takes you through all the dungeons on normal mode, which is the easiest one. You have unlimited coins on that difficulty so you can farm up some shitty otherverse equipment for exorcism to use in expert mode. Expert mode is where you'll do the [Chronicle] questline, which gives you 3 pieces. The set pieces you're looking for also only drop in expert mode.

Maketh man gives you like 3 pieces, but the 150-hour honeytime reward is also a piece. Running the dark elf dungeons will also get you some pieces.

It's fucking easy to hit with and will clear a Tower of Despair floor by itself.

To get the SP, drop Swift Demon Slash, Short Sword build doesn't use that.

Put left over SP in Sword Barrier and take 3 level of the TP, that gives over 100% physical damage reduction and is really useful for cheesing some content, especially in OV

To get the TP, take it out of Elemental Shift, It's bound to be high enough of a proc chance even without the TP just based on your short sword mastery.

My question is, how intensive and difficult her endgame gearing? Some people told me that she's fine with Halidoms as long as you have that instant charge thing. Others said you also need a certain swap Otherverse set and legendary items or some sort.

When you get far enough in the game, you can unlock hard mode for story dungeons. That should allow you to figure out how to really play the game (to an extent), but otherwise the storymode is easy to allow people to level up their characters to max within a relatively short time frame
