Just got the expac, question for people who know more than I do. I've got a lvl 97 Mage, all his professions (Jewel Crafting & Engineering) are sitting in the 600-650 range right now, is it worth it to boost him to 100 just for the free 700 on professions? Or are professions easy/cheap to max out now?

All I remember is leveling up my alt in early WoD and leveling up JC and Engineering cost me a fucking arm and a leg.

Absolutely not worth boosting. Save the boost for someone around the 60 range with either really low or no professions at all.

600-700 flies thanks to how easy draenor profs are, at worst you'll have to wait for a day or two of timegates. Just max out those work orders asap for your profession's building. Your garrison's gathering shoudl provide you with the materials to at least come close, and draenor is packed with resources since no one leaves their garrisons.

how do I do legion invasion exp exploit?

I still can't decide between Assassin and blood DK for legion. I like DK but it's always difficult to get a raid spot as a tank, even causally.

Assassin is satisfying but double dagger as an artifact vs big fucking 2 hander axe is a bit underwhelming.

Ele shaman was another option but they get fucked too hard in pvp when set upon

Because WW mastery/talents make it so you never hit the same button twice you are never spamming something for combo points to spend. I think it's a really fun "rotation" and I never find myself without something to hit.

My favorite part about WW is probably the mobility with rolls/tiger lust and touch of karma for a defensive cooldown. Storm Earth and Fire is up to the player if they like it or not and Touch of Death won't be engaging until artifact.

Don't even bother roleplaying, roleplay realms are just better to be on. Scares off the loud brands of sperg and the quiet brand of sperg found on roleplay realms is easy to avoid if you don't want to be a part of it, leaving you with better company.

Spriest is gattagofast, lots of buttons lots of procs, more or less of the same. Surrender to Madness is a really complex mechanic that a lot of people are gonna take a while to master, not to mention the fact that they keep changing it. I think they are in a relatively good spot atm though.

That aside, you can ignore roleplay entirely on Emerald Dream. Though if you want to play it real safe you can avoid inn rooms.

The reason to roll on Emerald Dream is that it's a high pop PvP server with equal population, and arbitrary roleplay tags scare off the worst type of players, makes towns livelier and fuels economy. I don't roleplay at all but I'd always want to roll on a roleplay server.

The way the class plays changed from the pre-patch. The artifact helps with some more passives but overall the theme stays the same. Your focus is smoothing damage then using orbs to heal back from burst damage.

I think what prot pally needs to be fun-ish again is more stuff to do with charges, and skills that reduces the cooldown of other skills. Making sure to always have only 1-2 charges of SotR to get the reduction from Judgment, and then having Avenging Wrath/Light of the Protector on CD to get the reduction from SotR is a nice and comfy interaction.

I think a talent (perhaps in place of the shit-tier repentance/fist of justice) that gives Hand of Reckoning 2 charges and reduces the cd of something, perhaps Ardent Defender or Blessing of Sacrifice, would be a good start. And maybe Avenger's Shield (i'm aware of the legendary that makes it reduce GoAK) reduces the cd of Blessing of Freedom or Rebuke?
