The casual L2 360 degree sweep? On a fucking great hammer? Unheard of in the other games hammer movesets.

At least B team made a hammer have some nifty lance movesets aka Sanctum Mace in DaS2. DaS3 greathammers are all shit aside from the unpatched spiked mace L2 > R2, and the greatclubs decent R2's.

The cathedral knight mace is the biggest case of hardon to soft I've experienced in recent years. Seeing them use it, and then what it does when you use it was just sad.

But Bloodletter is a STR weapon. The untricked form was no fucking joke. It had a thrust R2 that had like thrust and then wacky multipliers because of the points on it, did like easy 600 damage a pop.

The bloodletters mace form alone is mint compared to the wet sock slinging animations we get in 3.

That's the biggest issue with them imo, you can't do anything more then 4 R1s with no roll after with even 40 END + RoF+2 which is crippling in both PvE and PvP. They need a flat 10-15% stamina reduction cost per attack across the board.

There's so many things in great weapons that need to be fixed. It doesn't make sense as it is. Either:

- Keep the current stamina cost, but speed them up to equal as other weapons
- Change the stamina cost to the same as other weapons, but keep the speed

The kirkhammer in bloodborne has that "stagger but not 'hit' mechanic" but the staggers still do damage, just like 25% of what you'd normally do

I think that simple addition might fix these STR weapons right up. Even just stunning people would be like 50 damage here and there. That could make all the difference.

What if it looked at the weight of the weapon. Most S.Swords are like 3.0 weight if I recall correctly, so based on the weight it'll add a certain amount between barracks, heavier weapons getting a higher benefit.

It is. PvP in BB after some time was undoable if you didn't autism farm gems.

Did you notice they all have weapon durability down? Well, when farming they'd have a random negative modifier, which could be as meaningless as durability, a PvE debuff versus certain enemy types, or a damage debuff, rendering it useless and forcing you to farm even more.

Everybody in BB who was properly gemmed essentially walked around with a permanent cursed weapon buff, except even better. Bog standard chalice gems were 27% and you could stack 3 of them. Special snowflake korean MMO grinding gems went up to like 33%

BB's pvp was unique. Nothing true comboed more than 1 hit, but because the netcode was the worst in franchise history, and because the game itself had horrid input-delay, you could often mash R1 with certain fact weapons and catch people in a vortex of inescapable phantomrange. Most weapons could kill in 3-5 hits, and there wasn't really a meaningful damage difference between the slowest ultras and the smallest mashy dexshit.

I saw someone post a literal 1000+AR Beastcutter once. A weapon that gets mass luxurious amounts of hyper armour ontop of that.

There were super rare gems that could give you +20% attack, but then a further like 15% if you're a full health. You'd get people stacking 3 of these (3x effective 35% ish up at full health) and if they ever landed the first hit, you'd be well and truly fucking seeing the loading screen shortly. They'd instakill you with katana unzips.

You unlock slots normally plus and additional one for the side arm. In the end everyone realised that the pure damage increase gems were best in almost every way except for some specific builds.
It was theorically a good system but it oly promoted autism grind for PvP benefits in the end.

The way big enemy poise works is so weird. Iudex and Champion get stunned after 185 poise damage and lets you get a couple of hits in. Vordt gets stunned after 200, but he barely lets you get hits in. Dancer is after 170, but also barely lets you get hits in. For the giant crystal lizards, you just need to do 115 poise damage to be able to get the riposte, but when you stun Oceiros after 120 poise damage, it only lets you do the riposte if you do ~600-700 damage to his head while he's stunned. I don't really understand why the effect is so different for each fight.

we all have 100 poise to start with, the higher your poise stat the more poise you have, effectively.

yhorm's greatshield will generally cover all of your poise needs. I've also seen people using wolf ring + offhand LKLS

What I meant to say was gimmick weakness that makes them easier to handle or beatable. Like burning the pus in ds3 with fire stuns them but you can't spam it because they can hyper through firebombs after the first stun.

Not a weakness but it serves as a good hint of where she will appear next but to a first time player it will be taunting and forces them to find the hint before the boss overwhelms them. I remember wailing at Seath but he kept regenerating iirc or being invulnerable until after you hit the crystal that was behind him.
