You can turn captured units into extracts (stronger the units, stronger the extract) and giving those extracts to a unit gives them raw stat increases. Essentially the same as shards, but considerably easier to get, at least from what I remember.

And I'm not sure exactly what Channel Azi Dahaka defines as weaker but I remember it being something like that. The threshold for it was forgiving enough that it was hella useful.

Dirt Rally is one of the best rally sims period. Don't make the mistake one anon did and bought it if you aren't expecting a challenge though. It's unforgiving.

Otherwise pCars, and Assetto Corsa comes out in a week and is fantastic. Assetto Corsa is also a sim, more so than pCars though.
Either way fantastic game and well worth the money if you enjoy racan.

I like that Grow Up is a bit more open than Grow Home. Grow Home wasn't linear per se, but it progressed in a linear fashion since your goal was always to go upwards and the game world was essentially a giant standing cylinder.

With Grow Up it just kind of drops you on the map and tells you to explore and find shit, and sometimes if it notifies you of where something is it'll be below where you already are so you can glide or jump down. Obviously the ultimate goal is still to get to the highest part, but the layout of the map means there's a lot more reason to be going down at times too.

It's not a major thing but it makes it fresh compared to the original. I like it.

Not if you just want more of Nier as they're quite different in both gameplay and tone. If you want to explore more of Taro's brand of fucked-up-ness though, then yes(?).

Nier is definitely the most palatable of the series, so whether you'll be willing to put up with Drakengard 1s repetitive and droning combat or Drakengard 3s performance issues may impact how much you could enjoy them.

I'd recommend taking a look at some gameplay, read up a bit on the characters, and if you think it seems interesting from there, go for it. I personally absolutely loved Drakengard 3 just as much as Nier, and Zero is my favourite character in the series so there's that.

You can go straight to 1 or 3 as they're only distantly connected. You can also go straight to 2 if you want, but it's not REALLY a Taro a game, so it should be your lowest priority.

Sony just up and abandoned it basically after the 1st year. While Vita is far from dead and still getting lots of games from Japan, most of them aren't appealing to normalfags.

I played Chivalry on PC, according to Steam, for 79 minutes. I played it last 11/24/2012. Needless to say, I thought it sucked pretty hard, but they may have changed it since then.

I really liked Inquisition. Lasted me 140 hours without DLC. Got the platinum for it too.
