No, that was the original theory Because Bungie said ornaments would come from Trials, Rise of Iron book, and the Raid, so people meant ornaments as parts that you attach to armor, but now that more details came to light it seems what they meant is ornaments will be a part of the raid, trials, and Rise of Iron book armor sets (as in only those 3 sets will be ornamented)
Ornaments themselves seem to be just a resource named "ornament" used to unlock any ornament node. Think if chroma was just a single chroma material that unlocked any color.

Now its safe to assume some of those legendary engrams will decrypt into exotics and will therefor be essentially useless as far as your gain, but by far the majority will decrypt into legendaries, making you basically sit on at least 700-1000 legendary marks.

Now this is not counting the 200 marks I have on my account already, and the dozen legendary items I have on my characters right now purely for the sake of dismantling them.

Now lets look at the Cryptarch itself. Each legendary engram gives you 200 reputation. He needs 3000 reputation to rank up.
260 engrams = 52000 which equates to 17 Rankups at base, each rank up is guaranteed to give you at least 2 blue engrams. which equates (assuming you don't get any more legendary engrams, which you will) to 5100 rep.

Give or take a couple blue/legendary engrams from ranking up, you're essentially looking at nearly 1k legendary marks and 20 cryparch rank ups.

And there are other benefits to hoarding legendary engrams, each rank up will give you RoI engrams which give RoI gear, legendary marks give you more RoI gear, and you'll have enough motes and weapon and armor parts in the end to also rank up several times with any faction (which I also have 1k heavy weapon synths saved for).

By the time you're done clearing out your inventory you'll be swimming in RoI gear from everything but the endgame, not to mention out of those 260 engrams there's a pretty good chance at walking away with a couple god roll weapons and a few T12 armor pieces.

So I did a bit of research as to why my update is over 19gb in size, and apparently this is the cumulative size of all past updates, and PS4's show this instead of what I actually need to download.

That being said, I'm about 2gb in and the download is still going. I tried refreshing my licenses but that didn't do anything but reset the download.

Did I really miss out on 19gbs worth of updates since I've been gone? Or is there a way to fix this?
