You can acquire gear from pre-Legion events or do some LFR. Would give you an easier time leveling initially if you care about that. Note, all that gear will be replaced quickly. Still, the pre-Legion events can be useful for transmog collecting if that's your thing.

Leveling professions is also handy. Having your professions at max before Legion is good since professions will benefit your artifact in regards to skins and what not. If you don't care about taht either then chill and ERP.
