When a VN is announced, it should be just as important to announce who's translating it and that announcement should be a major factor in the reception of said VN announcement.

He has his partner Gare to help pick up slack, and although he considers himself a mediocre writer, he still has close to 100% comprehension of the original text thanks to 12 years of experience (much spent both in Japan and taking advanced classes in a full-Japanese college). That's more than most VN translators can say, and they tend to be mediocre writers too. Just look at that Flowers translation, not only was the translator pretty rough with English but he got a lot of the meaning wrong too. Flawed as he may be, Conjueror (+Gare) is still the best in the industry, closely matched by Koestl and Makoto.

Manga Gamer is infamous because when it started all the TLs were done by native Japanese people and thus were hella bad. That was never my argument. Read my first post >>152044335 I never mentioned Conjueror's quality of translation in correlation to other translations. From the beginning I was occupied with competency, of which there is plenty of on MG's side. If you really want me to name of competent translators, then fine;

Arunaru, Maria, BDH, Kouryuu, Cafe, Kirby, Aroduc, Apoptosis (which I already mentioned, but is unfortunately no longer in the business. he does want to return though), DS55... I mean, most of this is just the MG staff page.

Yeah, even though I said I don't read H-scenes, I agree with that, if only because all-ages tends to dance around the concept of sex. They basically strip out the bits between first kiss, and sex, or they replace sex with something obviously meant to emulate it (e.g. Feena and Tatsuya 'waltzing' in the monument for three days, when, immediately afterward, they make it pretty explicit that Feena is naked and their relationship dynamic has changed).
