Thermite probably has the most well rounded AR of them all. Solid DMG for cqb, very controllable fire rate for accurate sustained firing at range, tight grouping for burst. I would categorize his gun firmly between ARs and DMRs.

The only time I've ever seen a caveira do anything is when they abuse running outside and killing window rapellers or people not paying attention. She's generally pretty shit, I seriously think she would have been a better fit as an attacker for an anti-roamer.

Generally if your team is going to have roamers pulse and Valk serve that function better. I hate seeing a team of pulse Valk cav and frost in ranked then they all run about and do fuckall.

I sort of used to be. Would still play other ops, but I got 29 hours on Thermite before they took away his frags. Haven't played him much since 'cause now it's a lot harder to get through bandit/muted walls on my own, and since there's never any thatchers anymore. Have a lot more fun maining Ash now though.

The shotgun nerf is entirely unnecessary. The operators causing problems with shotguns are either problematic because of other sources (Pulse) or are the direct result of Ubisoft forcing powercreep on this game to increase DLC sales.

Even then, a fair amount of shotgun-using operators only use them because their SMG alternative is shit. See: Caveira, Frost, Mute, Smoke.

Valk is the only one who needs her shotgun tuned down, which shouldn't be surprising because she's from the Frost-era school of thought that resulted in the Super90. The Spas 15 shows that Ubi now knows how auto shotties are supposed to work, and so the nerf should only hit Valk.

Instead they're nerfing everyone but the russians, while leaving nitro, the Mac11, BB, etc., untouched.

defender's get peeker's advantage just as much as attackers. that's why i play jaeger so much, i peek corners as far away from the wall, and go from leaning away from the corner to leaning into the corner at last second to milk as much of the peeker's advantage as i can. generally i can throw 5-10 rounds their way before they even get one shot off.

It's not really a trick as much as it might seem like common sense later in the game.

The trick is to "juggle" your bandits, avoiding EMP grenades by having them in your inventory, as opposed to exposed to being destroyed. And, to listen to when Thermite is placing his charge, so that you may place yours and immediately destroy his charge on the other side of the wall.

Basically, if they have a Bandit counter, I.E. Twitch, Thatcher, sometimes IQ, and Sledge/Buck/Capitao if your team doesn't have a Jager, then it's something to make use of to ensure your gadget doesn't get destroyed, and you can still use it effectively to counter Thermite. Or if thermite isn't on the field, you can just put it in troll locations like behind a barricade, or shock wire in a cover corner just inside the entrance of the OBJ for an enemy to try an use, or yaddayadda

it's a situational gimmick that only works in certain defender spots on certain maps, like dining room on hereford. you babysit a reinforced wall trying to listen for thermite to put his charge on the wall (use headphones). you then put your battery down on the wall and it destroys thermite's charge. you have to be quick though because while bandit is a 3 speed, he takes his sweet fucking time putting that battery down. i've been killed by thermite's charge a few times cocking it up.

How does being one shot hipfired from across a room not need a nerf? Shotguns in Siege are a crutch for people who can't aim, and I'm pretty sure they're only in the game because of console controllers. It is absolutely infuriating to be one hit killed by something that doesn't need to be aimed and is a one hit kill. You don't feel outplayed, you feel bullshitted. I get the same feeling when I die by a shotgun as I get when my ghost dies around a corner. They have absolutely no place in a skill based game like Siege. I would rather entirely remove shotguns from the game more than Blackbeard.

Is there literally any reason not to buff shields? Not to the ridiculous level they were in the Alpha or anything, but at least fucking buff them at all. Two bullets to the hand and you're down to 50HP, a glancing nitro takes you down to nearly nothing, netcode fucks you in any engagement because and slight look away from someone rather than dead at them and your head is exposed for a half second. Last I knew pickrates were like 1% for Montagne, 3% for Blitz, and like 12% for Fuze but everybody uses his AK.

I mean was it really necessary to BUFF Pulse and NERF shields in the same update? For what fucking purpose?

I've gotten into the habit of prefiring the floor every time I vault a shield and I think many others who have been playing for a long time are doing the same. I would personally rather barbed wire in a door than a shield and frost mat.

It slows enemies down which prevents them from rushing or using peeker's advantage against you, which they can still do while vaulting a shield, and it makes a shit ton of noise. I've been saved many times in a 1v1 defense situation by having barbed wire covering all the entrances to the objective so I don't have to, allowing me to hear where the other guy is coming from.

Reposting somewhat from last thread but I have a problem where my game freezes for a few seconds on mission prep, then is fine for the rest of the round, only to happen again next mission prep phase.

It isn't too bad or anything, but it's annoying as fuck to be putting a wall up or something and to freeze wasting 10 seconds, then having to put the same wall back up.

Tried contacting ubishit but there is only so many times I'll reinstall my game and update drivers before I'm just wasting bandwidth.

I googled it and others have have the same problem but it wasn't clear what the fix was. Has anyone else had to deal with this?

Been playing casual most of the day on PS4 and didn't play on plane at all, mainly favela, is there a random playlist or how does it work?
