Any other rad platformers like Magical Sound Car? It's a neat little game with around 60 levels, I honestly had more fun finishing that game in 1 hour than a recent AAA game I've played.

I honestly think Undertale did something really right with it's tone and pacing. The atmosphere of the game is really gripping in my opinion and it keeps you emotionally invested which is alot more than most games these days, especially considering many games that have varied motifs tend to be on the cynical side. I think making a positivist game with a compelling world is alot harder from a storytelling perspective.

Because when youre in an open green field it's weird to be moving in directions like that without constantly rotating around to see if anything is trying to go around and come at your sides or behind you. Also in a dark cave or dungeon it makes sense to not be able to see too far but outside you would expect to see everything up ahead.
Ive never played an above ground crawler that was actually good, not counting ones where only shops and villages were above ground.

Competitive games are ridiculously hard to pull off because you have to be so great as to pull people away from the existent options.

With single player games, people are always moving to something new as they finish things. But for multiplayer games you have to manage to pull people away from established communities (either cutting their ties or bringing their buddies over).

Right now he's making Red Haze, Close Your Eyes 2 and Inferbito. The problem with AestheticGamer is that he's doing way too many things at the same time, and doesn't really focus on just one game project at the time.

Sometimes he puts some work on one of them, then moves on to another project, then returns to the old project, and he has no idea what he was thinking about with that one.

He also streams a lot and has a pretty stressful life, which has also led him to the hospital due to the health problems it has caused. I just hope he'd be able to do it one game project at a time for the sake of his own health, too.

There is an indie Mario Kart out there with various tracks and characters from random indie games.

There are a couple of indie smash bros that are sound competitively but no one cares to play it anyway. That's because you need more than the competitive community for a fighting game, hell the FGC has never mattered when it came to sales. In MvC and Smash being able to play as characters you like matters as much as game balance.

People would actually play indie smash clones if they had a variety of indie characters people liked instead of generic furries.

Hotline Miami has always been more about what's happening internally/mentally and ignoring what's right/wrong and what's real/fake at first. The reason people don't enjoy it is because they're trying too hard to figure out the lore first, as opposed to just sitting back and enjoying the awesome moments first, then meticulously figuring out the lore. Like even in this review the guy admits that he opened up a fan wikia early on instead of trying to think about it for himself.

The game is trying to make a point about how being overly analytical of the plot will result in dissatisfaction. This is even furthered by the point that in HM2 Biker is completely deranged, sullen, and stricken with white hair. The joke is that why try and make sense of the plot like Biker when you can just have fun like Jacket.

Although I do think this mentality changes slightly in HM2.

There's a dude you have to save (buzz?) next to rail crossing. You have to completely exhaust a certain line of chatting to get a tip. If you do it correctly, you'll get a messenger in core city. You don't have to keep running to the Coretech boss.
