Not really though. Unlike in DMC, Lunatic in Fire Emblem games involves a lot of praying to RNG gods and soft resetting when things go wrong. I don't even enjoy it, though I do respect anyone crazy enough to play it.

If you want an easier time with the game, or literally what you're asking for - that is, the freedom to use shittier units, just play on hard. It's pretty straightforward.

Hell, even in DMC the difficulty isn't absolute. Playing on lower difficulties allows you to combo differently due enemies having different juggling properties in DT and different health values. Once you get to the stage of just having fun with the game, showing off slick shit and whatever else the lower difficulties are useful for a lot of things.

Prior to Fates I think RD was considered the worst story in the franchise, yet now people constantly sing it's praises like it's the best in the franchise.

Like I said, I actually really liked FE10's story even after I learned to recognize all the stupid shit. Story moments like 2-E, 3-10, 3-12, 3-13 and the Endgame really felt like great, memorable scenes that made me care for the characters in them. I can't exactly say that with 12, 13 and 14's wasted story and procession of cliche characters having no personality beyond "reaction image" and "angsty".

The dragonstone exists outside of the weapon triangle. It also hits against resistance, rather than defense so it isn't always the best option. Furthermore you can't double with it, and it brings its own share of stat changes (click it to find out what). The other reason not to use it is it's stuck with 1 range.

I disagree. Magic is still decent (it's the users who suck) and handaxes, javelins and the throwing katana are decent weapons, just not the crowd clearing monstrosities they were before in the right hands

If you could double or there was a physical based stone, dragon stones wouldnt be as bad, As they are its an early game tank weapon and doubles as an okay damage source since enemy res is pretty shit for the 1st few chapters on most enemies.
