Actually you can mine shit on the surface with the ship but it's close to impossible. You need to be closer than with the multi tool. Since you can't float in place this means it's impossible to mine more than a few resources at a time.

What is there to do in this game?
I went to three planets. Have the same gun/mining tool/ship/suit.

The monsters are all the same.
The aliens on each planet are the same.

The aliens all let me give them 20 carbon in exchange for 83 carbon, a new word, or money (This infinitely loops).

These are just the basic concerns. I have -many- more.

So a few items, for example the suspension fluid is selling for 20k each from NPCs and it says -8% galactic average in the brackets, but when I'm trying to sell it I get lets say +2% galactic average, but only can sell for 2k each.

Question here. Ive been having trouble getting the Atlas Pass v1. I enter to the monument and im pretty sure it unlocked. I also unlocked the space traveling with atlas and traveled to two different stars over the last couple days. I have yet to see the Giant floating diamond that youre supposed to fly into. This game would be a lot more interesting if you could find cities and ground combat was more than just killing drones that decide to assault you while you're mining plutonium or some shit. There is no one ever that has had problems with plutonium. As a matter of fact, the only problem with any resource I've had is having to make a 15 minute trip both ways from my crashed ship to a huge pillar of heridium when I first started, which I didn't mind since it was the beginning of the game. The survival elements in the game are more of an inconvenience than something you need to plan around or that affects your experience.

From what I've come to gather, abandoned ships often have the same number of inventory slots as your current ship or one more than. Be aware of this when buying a ship, the next one you find abandoned will more than likely have 1 more than what you've just bought. You could just upsize over and over instead.

Devs really pushed the idea that the game was all about exploration but it seems pretty tough to get on your feet, how are you supposed to know what materials are good to always have around?
