I had said a few days ago that "the highlights that are not gameplay have been marked as "fluff" and will be marked as "fluff" for the posts in the future". I know that we are guilty of being inconsistent in applying the proper flair. Stream highlight flair are automatically applied and it is strenuous to watch each and every submission and flair them properly. We'll try to do better on that front.
It is true that plenty of community members are tired of these kinds of submissions, but many still want to see them. Also it seems we have come full circle. Only this time we cannot go back to self-post submissions as Reddit decided to give self-posts also karma. That takes away the karma-whoring factor and every small thing that happens on stream is submitted. There are currently no leagues, LANs which also adds to these type of submissions.
Regarding the wording of Rule 1, some submissions are completely out of context of people doing something else entirely while they are streaming, those kinds of posts are removed. When it comes to pros talking about each other or talking to each other, it does fall into a grey area as they still talk in and around the game, or how people play the game and how they should play it. Enough part of the community wants to see that type of content that removing them would create backlash against us. That being said, we'll try to cut down the volume of those kinds of threads as well, not saying entirely remove them.
