I just log in on RK and BE for rewards (I fucking hate BE's dailies, especially because of the ridiculously small lapis reward, and I got bored of them after hitting 12k lapis), complete RK's event dungeons for extra mythril, then play Mobius.
Right now RK and BE are just gacha simulators to me, I like to pull but I have zero motivation to do content. Mobius' gacha have nice rules but is kinda weak right now so I'm saving my tickets, but high level content is quite challenging and fun.

U+ CM cleared. Seiken Shock and Divine Guardian are bredy gud. no other SBs used. boss was still a little tougher than i expected.

Kuja was so fragile that i had to switch away from devotion on him. he still hit for 9,1k without it. and he still died.

giving Steiner Unbreakable Spellblade might've been better, the counters hit him for ~700 so the 10% def wasn't critical and he wasn't quite capping his hits. still, another few damage per hit would've added up quick.

Nobody is going to pretend that FFT wasn't just TO-Lite with the time system actually give it a lot of unexpected depth. But the ability to break the game wide open in many ways is what made it really fun. Sometimes you just want to run nothing but an army of monks and have it work out because of no variable resistances to external action.

I actually did a marathon stream. All three final fantasy's back to back to back 12 hour go-rounds.

That's because Nomura was told to write it within that universe, and even then he wanted the Fabula references to be subtle at best.
Tabata has confirmed that they're just taking elements from Fabula, while changing its core concepts like l'cie and the deities. Switching Regis turning into a Cie'th to Regis turning into something less human by using forbidden magic is an example of such a change.

I can only breathe a sigh of relief at this decision, too. Forcing focuses and l'cie bullshit was a creative limit to the franchise. You can get away with recurring things provided their importance was optional. Chocobos were mascots, the monster types were an easy recurring theme that influenced little to no narrative. Even the summon monsters have varied in their importance to the games involved.

Being branded by a god is too big a plot device no matter how you slice it, and you can only go so far with that gimmick. It's a dead end that Square needs to back away from, and it's looking like XV is that exit.

The '06 trailers were showing Noctis trying to fight his way through Insomnia, ending up at the empty throne.
