I use Bombardier, Extra Rounds, Sonic Resistance Rounds because fuck Sirens, Concussive Rounds for dynamite stuns and sending Fleshpounds flying, Destroyer of Worlds and then change to Mad Bomber for Boss Wave since you can't nuke bosses anymore
High Impact Rounds and Armor Piercing Rounds were pretty shit last patch, not sure how they're now but I'd rather take the alternative anyway

If you go for a team supporting build like the slow-down on leg shot, it can be helpful for keeping zeds and controlling crowds. Also, the insta-stun from a single flashbang is pretty good too.

I do feel his guns are a bit too weak and need more ammo reserve so that you can spray more comfortably.

Wouldn't mind certain weapons benefitting from other perks, that nailgun for berserker also initially benefited from commando attributes and TWI said it was a focus to allow multiple class weapon builds. Stuff like the trenchgun to mesh with support and commando for m16, firebug and demo get respective damage buffs and emphasis on the fire/grenade aspects of the gun but other two classes could increase clip size with the respective perks and also get damage increase and more emphasis on the base bullet attacks.

Are TWI bad at math? The SWAT's passive skills say he gets +1% mag size per level, but at level 5 the MP7 has 50 rounds per mag, the MP5 37, the P90 60, and the Vector 40, iirc.

This seems closer to +4% mag size per level, not +1%.

Was this intentional? Will I actually get to use a 100-round P90 at level 25 or is this just a ruse?

they took a mechanic that said "aim carefully and consistently well and receive reliable bonus damage" and made it "receive sort of random bonus damage"

You still run out of ammo too quickly for spray and praying as SWAT because of all the enemies that spawn in now. I use the P90 as a single-fire AR-15 or Bullpup with a big magazine and it works well.

Just solo'd Hans on Hoe, shit was as hard as Patriarch with first version of Game Conductor and his sonic speed.

I feel it's impossible to finish Hans on your own if he has some health left. Old kite and shoot when throwing grenade strategy doesn't work anymore. He throw grenades while running, doors don't stop him even for a second, he's all about melee.

You might as well just type suicide if you're the only one left.

You know those two tunnels right next to each other, the really low-ceiling ones that have the caged-floor below to green lava? One of them you can jump down to the entrance to. For some reason, Hans can't drop down. If you drop down, he's forced to go to one side and go down the stairs. Makes for an easier fight, since you can actually heal

Much faster, give incentive to level up that isn't just perks, include XP boosts depending on what your class is ie: Field Medic gets more XP for healing others, Commando gets extra XP for killing cloaked Stalkers. Maybe include daily challenges which reward XP for specific achievements.

And since it's still early access give people the option to skip the grind and set their level to max to test out new perks for balancing reasons or so they can play on SoE without needing to grind. No incentives are rewarded for using it.

According to the doc it gives +4 penetration power. All shotguns give 2, and max level gives +5 for 7. With this it's 11.

When a bullet with penetration hits something it has it's power subtracted by the enemy's resistance. If it's remains above 0 it keeps going, but does (current power)/(max power) damage instead of full. AKA 6/7 = 85% instead of 7/7 = 100% damage.

You usually won't run into such a long group of enemies that you will really get a lot of use out of armor piercing shot. I did a quick test with the DBS, and SG500, and had mixed results.

I think that if you play fairly close range the penetration can be better, but with tight choke you can actually stand far back and still hit everything, or even hold a door while sending far away shots to the other choke. Not to mention snipe heads better.

I bought an AMD rx480 to play the game in ULTRA rather than LOW but am really disappointed at the results; related is screenshot taken on cube, I was having 30-35 fps.

I came back to this after hearing the teleporting ZEDs has been fixed and balance came out.

I turned off the Bloom because this game has it on an obnoxious level. After all this I was pleasantly surprised that it does feel much more like KF1 was.

Some FX should be adjusted. For instance, turning off the nvidia Gibs and blood give an idiotic high performance boost, but the blood sprites look kinda meh. They're relying too much on the fluid computing, and actually, it doesn't look that good because it's too exaggerated.
The Sharpshooter weapons kick too much on the animation. For instance, you can see the Commando bullets travel and hit the ZEDs, yet, the SS weapons ofuscate the whole screen each shot. I even think it doesn't trace the bullet like other weapons.
DBShotgun still reloads two shells when fired one.

Small gripes but they're easily fixed... if they pay attention to it.

I can't stand those games where LMGs are basically SMGs with more bullets, LMGs are supposed to fuck you up when they hit you not tickle you until you die. I'd say battlefield 4 got them right, 4 shots to kill a player close range, 5-6 at long range, that should be a good baseline for killing clots

I feel like the real problem would be balancing it so it doesn't invalidate other weapons, I'm guessing LMGs would have to be heavy with expensive ammo so you can't realistically carry around an LMG + some other light off perk weapon unless it's a handgun

I use my old GPU (GTX 660ti) as a dedicated Physx card and it lets me use Flux perfectly without lag. The thing is Flux itself is kind of underwhelming though because the liquid particles are glitchy as hell and seem to have some crazy glow., but the gibs are decent.

Because it's more intense in terms of gameplay, which is the opposite of "comfy."

M4 is not that bad, but the DBS is so much fun it's hard to skip it. In overall I think SG, DBS, AA12 & Medic Pistol is the best setup. SG for trash zeds and things that are a little far away, DBS for medium zeds, anything that comes close and those evade jumps, with AA12 for biggies and when there's too much trash around. I prefer to start as Zerker and change to Support when I have enough dosh for AA12, you need every dosh for this perk.

I think the Commando is in a good spot right now. He's got high powered weapons for cutting down Sirens and othe medium zeds with ease, he's got Stalker vision to make them much easier for the team to deal with, and he's got zed-time extensions. Hell, a SCAR-H can help out if the team has to magdump a Scrake or Fleshpound.

After playing SWAT for a while you really start to value the Commando's power and other abilities.

Maybe make him mark targets during Zed time, every zed he shoots receive additional 30% damage during zed time. Make a small bullseye icon appear (yeah, I know, more comics icons bullshit) above the target, so rest the team will focus fire, while Commando will continue to extend zed time.

SWAT have better DPS, and Kriss is really accurate on medium and short distances, you can go full burst and hit all shots. Right now I'm able to solo SC on 6p Sui with one mag of Kriss and I have few levels to gain.

I used mostly Pulv + Medic AR before, but trying Zwei on Scrakes with their new resitances makes it great against them, but shit against Fleshpounds. So the only thing that I can carry is Medic SMG, which is not that great.

It has travel time. It even has drop, too.
It doesn't have noticeable travel time for you, because you must always shoot shit right next to you.
Shoot something 40m+ away and you'll see.

In KF1, you can even shoot straight up, and it falls back down and blows you up several seconds later, if the map's skybox is big enough, like mountainpass or farm.

The spreadsheet lists for the KF2 M79:

Doubly confirmed because they took it out from the HX25, I'm now seeing.

I used to do it all the time, letting me set up nuclear strikes to happen several seconds after zed time ended, but now it looks like HX25 pellets have a timer to disappear before they'd fall back to the ground shot upward.
