as you hit the wall of progress with your first few builds (usually around level 70+), try to identify what went wrong. learn from mistakes. look up similar builds to yours and try to see what gear and skill tree they are using and why its better than yours

HP is your main defense, it takes priority over any other defense nodes(unless you play an Energy shield build)
Plan your builds around key-nodes and key-clusters in the skill tree

Don't craft, don't use currency at all, it's a noobtrap, keep everything you have for trading
Don't horde garbage, most uniques and rares are shit and are not worth the stash space

Get a shit ton of Endurance Charges, have fuckhuge life regen (potential RF addition?), run manual IC if you need to get that phys immunity, I just don't know what skill I would use with it. Fire Trap requires trap nodes which are onthe other side of the tree, Doomfletch requires dex which is difficult to get although you could maybe branch into the duelist, but still you need those bow nodes and they're also on the other side of the map, I just don't know what skill to run

90% is possible without any gem investment on burning chance. its so reliable emberwake can be an option on fast-hitting skills

in fact burn is so ez with chieftain that you can use it as a multiplier (35 inc damage on burning shit + 25 from tree + 15 from boots) as well as a secondary damage source (poison+burn bladefall totems for example)

That looks like the tree I'd have to go, the Witch section looks like it'd be a bitch to get. Probably would have to rush there early on while picking up the ignite chance on the Templar side.

I'm looking at Searing Bond and I wonder if that would be good enough, you could probably just ignore Ignite chance altogether since it deals burning damage, but damn that'd be a different build than this and the clear might be eh. Not a fan of running around totems anyways.

You could do that I guess, I don't really know if I like any of the cold skills though. Maybe Vortex or Ice Spear would work well with it, and seeing that Vortex build posted earlier makes it look like it could work well with the burning aspect of the build. As for Ice Spear, I'd run it if it got boosted by Seathing Touch but since it doesn't get that +2 level, I feel like fireball might be better, although in that case I'd need to actually run pierce and that might not be good, idk. I think I'd feel better with fireball over Ice Spear though, personally

of the most obvious skill choices for this build would be flameblast prolif or vortex

personally id be more inclined to run totems. the fact that totems can leech life to you (no other ascendancy has tthis) and give you end charges make them way too comfy

you also have a chance to run explosive arrow on this build with some slight modifications

I hate Flameblast, I think it's a really boring skill to use and it doesn't feel good stop moving and clear a pack that way. Vortex might be something I'll do instead of pierce Fireball, since I'd be losing out on that sweet Searing Touch bonuses by going Lioneye's Vision.

I just ripped on a flame totem build a while ago, I don't really want to run another build with it. I'm also not a huge fan of EA, given you need to cast two spells at a time to make it work optimally.

depends on what you are using. those are good on a rf/sb build. but on other skills you are better off investing those points elsewhere. EO alone gives you more damage in the long run than all of those together, aoe nodes can net you better clear speed if your chosen skill is aoe, jewel nodes can you give you more efficient damage boosts with some life too (you can buy/craft jewels with 15% fire damage, 15% AoE and 7% Life), etc

remember Burn double dips on fire, so any fire node/jewel counts double for burn.

Jade gives me 20k.
Sibnite has the blind effect which is really good and only uses 7/30 charges while jade uses 30/60.

It's such a tough call. I'm also not worried about reflect because I'm a lightning arrow voltaxic build, it doesn't hurt that much.

Grinding through Cruel A4 feels awful, the actual burn is doing what I feel is subpar damage, mana is a bitch, maybe I should have just done poison with pyre fuck

Maybe to add, it was one hour from the first person trying to enter Weaver's until the fix. ONE HOUR. At the start of a two-day race. Literally completely irrelevant, especially as people that couldn't progress had the chance to do Trials and sidequests they would have done anyways, further reducing the actual time lost.

You could have just extended the race by an hour to make up for it.

Instead, you decide to delete everyone's progress and characters. As ARPG devs one would expect you to know how fucking demoralizing this is for players. Plus, this sets the whole thing back for ANOTHER two hours. 4 am in Europe...

I was looking forward to this event since the schedule got announced. I have lost all motivation now. Probably was the last push I needed to finally quit this game though, so thanks for that.
