Paladin doesn't have a single pre turn 4 play, not a single one. Even then, their turn 4 is a fucking weapon.

There's not a single other deck in the game that has the same issue. Even Priest has solid turn 4 none reactive drops.

All the fucking faggots who will cry about secret Paladin til the day they day will never realize it was the combination of Avenge, Minibot, prenerf Juggler, Muster, Shredder, Loatheb, Dr. 6, and Boom, all played on curve, is what made the deck stupid. Minibot and Muster alone will do nothing in this meta, Muster is food right now thanks to Ghoul, even fucking Shamans got a clear for it that drop is cheaper and leaves a body. Nightbane might fill the void of Muster, but Paladin needs a real 2 mana drop that will stick on board.

After completing the first wing I am already tired out. The new cards are just so boring and bland, not even quirky RNG anymore.

Arena is still the same - Mage, Pala & Rogue (play on curve & tempo). Player with the better cards wins after a certain level.

So I played the priest "challenge" in Karazhan and had Barnes and purify at turn 6, the dream. Got prophet Velen with Barnes and could use the heal on my injured blademaster so I didn't purify, very disappointed. I just ended up purifying later for the card draw, so I don't think purify is as good as people make it up to be.

new-ish player here, need some questions answered

I did a budget C'Thun Mage deck (apparently its a tempo deck?) I found and now I'm gonna do one for Druid too (the only two classes I'm both interested in and can make a deck for). The quest is: should I ever bother with casual ever again or should I always play ranked now that I actually have some decent decks?

I peaked at rank17 after a good win streak but now i cant climb over 19. I think I should play more games near the end of the season when most players with good decks will have climbed and there will be more players like myself at those ranks (aiming for 15 for two golden cards). Is this a legit strat or just a pipedream?

Also the top decks for Mage are Yogg-Sarron with Brann Bronzerbeard and Freeze Mage right? Both seem crazy expensive and I don't plan on spending any money yet. I'm not sure whats really good about Druid but the class seems fun. Actually I'm not even sure if Druid is good.

It's easier to climb at the end of the month, yeah. But you should be able to get out of the rank you are stuck at now, just play more games, you'll see. One good win streak and you are out.

Tempo mage is probably the best mage deck right now. It does not run Brann, but often runs Yogg. Freeze mage is a good deck for tournaments, but not great for ladder as it has either very bad or very good matchups. Currently, more are bad. C'thun druid is quite strong deck, I'd advise you to stick with that, C'thun mage is shit.

Just make sure you always attack 2 enemy minions at once, even if it means you won't be mana efficient. Protect your big guys, especially Queen and Knights. Knights are the MVP. It will happen eventually, if you know the basics, it's basically just rng.

Start by setting your country to US.

Always go for double attacks and make sure to take out the lowest health units when you can, even if its the 1 attack boys when the 2 att is on board. Target the healers because you want to clear the board asap. You should only have one healer on at a time, and try to get board control by the time he starts using his hero power.

Remember that the two outside pieces will go face if you are 2 up, so make sure to have your 4 attack hit face in the end. Only let your 1 atts get cheated out. It may take a few times. And dont worry, sometimes not playing a piece is a better move than throwing an extra on board.
