Old descends are still fun to run through, newer ones with their fucking resolve, skill drain, over damage absorb, 1HKO attack+status shield+damage absorb, and all that other shit is just annoying and not fun.

I love having a random sky fall completely ruin everything by either going over the damage absorb shield limit or putting the enemy in rage mode. Even better when it has resolve and you push the HP bar too far down by accident with no chance of actually killing it..

How is the HK version not an option? At worst there's a JP exclusive thing a couple times a month and it's the same otherwise. Disabling root a couple times a month is far better than every single time you want to play.

Ra Dragon has three big weaknesses.

1. The full multiplier requiring all five colors plus hearts is very difficult to activate every single turn, meaning DKali style board changes are a requirement to keep up your damage output. I don't care how good you are at making matches, at some point the RNG will screw you over, or you'll face something that fucks the board up repeatedly. There is a reason people said not to bother with Ra Dragon unless you had at least 2 DKali, and most of the substitutes have their own issues.

2. To compound this, Ra Dragon has a shitty active with a long cooldown. Contrast how Sherias Roots has an 8-turn CD DKali active with a little true damage thrown on, while Ronove has a 3 CD active great for doing SI onto that also is usable on its' own terms. So both leaders have to rely on SI to be relevant active-wise.
3. Most damningly is that Ra Dragon lacks a HP multiplier, meaning that quite often you'll be dealing with things capable of 1-shotting your entire HP bar unless you bring some form of defensive active, or preferable actives. This is why Awoken Isis and Indra are preferred subs; Isis for dealing with things that hit just a bit too hard for you to handle normally, and Indra for dealing with enrage 1shot fuck yous or things that just hit catastrophically hard to begin with.

The strong actives on a Ra Dragon team combined with the raw brutal firepower of a 144x (even on an unfocused rainbow team) was enough to suffice for a long time, especially if you paired up with a Zeus Dragon when needed, but these days we're starting to see things that hit so hard and consistently doing so that is no longer sufficient. MAthena was just the first one bad enough that no number of actives could compensate for both the brutality of being hit and the additional fuck yous she threw at you, but by no means will she be the last.

That's only reliable if your phone is running some relatively stock flavor of android 5 or lower, an old version of superSU installed in a certain way, and you have a bit of other know how regarding system apps and some other hooks.

The plus side is that if that does work there are quite a few ways to keep shit running with root and still disable it for PAD.

Even the stock version of Android 5 and later 6 on my old phone used to fail the root check when it was unrooted.

Imagine a character card that counters every attack with 10,000x it's attack power, only takes 20 percent damage for every hit he gets, and gives the entire team a 80 percent boost in all their stats for water types (which means he himself gets the 80 percent boost and then the passive ability to defend 20 percent of that as well).

That's Super Vegetto which came out about 4 weeks ago. Since that time they added Brolly which has the same leader skill for PHY but gets to do his super attack twice in a row instead of having Vegetto's defense counter, SSJ3 Gotenks with the same leader skill for TEQ types except his gimmick is having 3 different super attacks with different properties, and today they released a SSB xKaio-ken Goku that gives a 100 percent boost to AGI types and gives himself a fucking insane boost to his attack and defense during his turn.

All within 4 weeks. Devalued a shit ton of old cards and it looks like the train isn't stopping.
Shit makes the Super Gogeta released a few months ago look average.

Oh and to give an example of how much the game has creeped.
For a while after the game debuted the best leaders were considered ones with things like 15 percent boost to attack, then that became 25, then became 20 to attack and defense, then 30 percent, etc.
Then all the percentage boosters got shit on by making +ki leader (full ki lets a character fire off a super attack and supers always do more damage than normal attacks due to multipliers).
So now +2 ki became the new standard, then +3, and now it's +3 with a gimmick to go with it.

About 90 percent of the game's cards are shit now because there's the a thing where each character has link skills that gives them boosts when linked to another character with the same skill. Power creep got to those as well, and now if your character doesn't have the most common +ki links it's automatically garbage.

PAD is going down that route with leader skills devaluing common leaders and awakening skills being a make or break factor for leaders/subs (no bind/skill bind/prongs/rows/skill boosts/type killers? Into the trash it goes).

Kaede is several times worse than Juggler was. Juggler excelled at one (dominant at the time) playstyle, was fragile as fuck, and had several weaknesses that could fuck him over without crippling many other teams.
His issue was that he was strong and way too easy. He was a massive powerleap of the effort:reward ratio on damage at the time.

Kaede is going to take an outright counter to heart matches/cross or massively attacking the board space and/or ability to use any changers whatsoever. The second route hurts other teams much more than her.

Kaede can run 5 SDR on all her subs with no issue and recovers from massive skill drains much faster than any non haste team.
No heart orbs = no problem. Not only do you have access to the system you have Yamatsumi. The beach flavor of Navi also came with the promise that there will be more. She has a 5 turn CD to boot.

Hearts being poison would kill her, but even then she's not in the worst spot on that either due to her prongs and wood match mult. She can at least can get plenty done unlike Miru/Typhon, or in this case even RaD/Sherias/XM.

I'm not saying she's invulnerable at all. There are plenty of mechanics in other games that can cripple her heavily. Just that unless they go directly after the cross they are going to fuck other teams much more.

My guess for Hera-Is Cup's 1% threshold was previously 134.5k judging from where the day 1 dip stopped and how Wadatsumi Cup and Yamatsumi Cup went. 135k+ seemed a bit overboard at the time, but neither of those ranking dungeons could be cheesed as easily.

When the best strategy is to literally pop a board converter, shift an orb one tile and hope for the best on every floor, whales are going to run it more for a crown because it takes barely any effort and no puzzling ability. I joined the reddit discord. Their coop rooms are pretty good. For all the shit reddit gets around these parts, I can find partners to get a free ride on my button teams saving me stamina and netting me more runs. They also had myr room when the descend was out. Might in the coins section now. It's kind of nice to plug in a number and lead for pretty much anything you want and have a random join you.
Be aware though, there are a few retards, like the one that used my goemon then cleared all the red on the last room of T50 while having no fire monsters (1hp death yay) instead of passing so I could poison with rodin.

The row awakenings are better when you need to burst and has an extra SB. Probably the better choice for most teams since he alone makes rows worth it.
