I think if you wanna do melee or marksman then Panda works because they're trained to be le elite fighterzzz, but a goblin who relies on dumb animals to get the job done can be pretty fun.

Enchanting is handy to have on any character, and I could sort of say the same of Inscription to a lesser extent. Engineer doesn't seem fitting.

there's champions and troops
champions are named characters, basically like WoD followers except without randomly generated abilities/traits
the actual abilities are a lot more generic than WoD, you've just got stuff like 'counters boss' or 'counters spell' or 'counters minions', then there's the bonus traits like bodyguard or various other combat ally effects (seen quite a few damage + AoE stuns on shortish cooldowns)
there's also equipment slots which I haven't looked too much into though there's things like extra OH resources on world quest completion
troops are just generic followers with a limited number of uses (vitality, some classes can get items to restore troop vitality though), they give a flat success chance boost and I think there's two varieties, one with +15% and 2 vitality, another with +30% and 3 vitality, not 100% sure on that though

so far I haven't seen any that grant OH resources so you'll have to go out and collect those by doing world quests or your class campaign or other stuff like that
there's a few missions for gold but there's not anything like treasure hunter to increase the yield, and the resource cost per mission is fairly high
cache missions are back but they don't directly give you the cache, you get a quest starter item that requires you to actually kill the boss, 500-1000 resource cost for the mission and there's both dungeon and raid caches
there's also various required missions for some campaign quests, seems to be the method of timegating the campaign this time around instead of just having your quests pop up once a week

tl;dr similar but not exactly the same as WoD

Good choice with the chest piece, like the selection of of weapons, the belt, the boots. Eyepatch is overused but screams pirate.

Gloves are just fucking garbage. I understand what you're trying to do with the pants, but they really don't work with that color scheme and make what should be a really simple design overly complex.

If you changed the pants and the gloves, then either removed the shirt or switched it to a swashbuckler's shirt (provided that even works, not quite sure whether that's covered by that kind of chest,) I would say it's a great look.

The only tank I've been trying to learn since 7.0 is brewmaster. I think my gear is a little low which makes some things mildly tricky, and overall I've enjoyed my time. I think there are some survivability issues and when the healer in the group is also relearning the class it can get frustrating, but with a solid healer I never have any problems keeping up aggro and holding my head above water while they support.
