I autistically look up people at max level, per job, on my server every single day. I took a 4 month break and only resubbed a few days ago, and one massive shift I've noticed is that the DRG population has gone waaaaay down and that NIN has gone up a fair amount (relative).

Did something happen to DRG's in the past few months? Any reason for this to happen? On my server, at a reasonable playing time, I would be able to see at least the same amount of DRGs as there are WHMs, now WHM's are still king but DRGs are sitting down with MNK. Wtf?

i have 2 versions of it on my hotbar: the quick-access macro that i can just mash if i'm already fighting something, and the normal ability for when i pull and need to clip stuff with it max range

No, it's actually quite alright. It's very easy to make it by here if you either have crafters or do farming runs of old Primals/Coils.

Not really comparable. On one hand, you're encouraging paying to transfer, and then receiving drama. Whereas any drama already on your server, or in the thread, has no extra cost attached. Due to the population of /xivg/ on Balmung, we essentially get the snippets of your drama even when we don't even know the names you're dropping because we aren't on the server.

You pay money to leave your server's drama and friends behind and go into a new, or old if you had once been on Balmung, den of drama and other people. Making new friends, that's fine. But it doesn't change the fact you left the others behind, and on the drama subject drama being everywhere is fine to say, but the drama on a server you're already on has no extra cost attached.

I don't think everyone on Balmung is the same, that's a naive notion. I do, however, consider how many I would need to avoid in order to not be randomly namedropped by several just because.

Th population of Balmung is greater than my own server's, but I do not dislike my server's population, either. My server's economy is fine for the most part, outside of one problem area that irks me daily. To transfer means spending money, no matter how little, again, liquidating my gil which is honestly more tedious than anything, and saying goodbye to the guys I'm fond of.

My point was that "drama is everyone" is all fine to say, but one type of drama is free, the other has a cost attached. In the end, a transfer isn't something I can justify doing again. Especially not a return-trip of a transfer
