I have. I'm not particularly great at it. The torps are kinda neat in that they're super aimable. The biggest problem with the ship, really, is the speed and fragility. The guns are okay, though.

I have three 100K damage Ibuki losses in a row, on my fourth one, my internet dropped while loading and by the time I got in the curbstomp was almost over. Got 500xp with the 200% bonus out of that win. Then on my Izumo I spent the entire match splicing or overpenning, ate three Fubuki torps because the game decided I wasn't allowed to turn even while I was holding down A, lost 60K credits and gained 1200xp with the bonus.

Probably not in this lifetime. The tech tree is basically complete, and was made by a single guy in the forums. Some holes are to be filled, and some ships would end up being paper projects, or never-completed vessels (like the two CV), but nothing too dramatic. The real problem is that WG ignores the existence of Italy, and in order to achieve its Historical Accuracy™ standards, would have to get all the sekrit documents, which are mostly held in two archives, one in Venice (where I could go myself, since I live there, and dig them out if necessary) and LaSpezia, which is on the other side of the peninsula.

This makes a RM tree extremely unlikely, although I'd dig the info out, and then model the ships in 3D myself to see it implemented.

And I'm pretty sure that even if I worked for free, we'd still not see RM implemented. Just look at WoT: they made lines upon lines of completely made up tanks, and yet no actually historical italian tech tree.

Roon is pretty versatile, she's a very good fire spammer thanks to her RoF granted you have equipped DE (you should have) and the main gun range mod.
Unlike Donskoi she has a good AP alpha which is bound to become even more reliable due to upcoming normalization buffs.

bastion looks like hell in a designer way. if the enemy ai has a CV or a BB there's no way the players won't autolose.

to make things worse there are features implemented in game we might not see, for instance many ships have their bridge designed, but no means to see it. so we can't trade the port to it or change to a zoom setting inside the bridge.

I'd get the range, then the hull and finally the guns.
The range is critical for the gameplay reasons you quoted, the hull gives you 6k hp and a lower rudder time which comes in handy for evasive manoeuvres.
The gun upgrade is pretty relevant too since it improves both turret rotation and RoF although i'd give priority to survivability (hence hull ad 2nd unlock).
Eventually it comes down to personal preferences but range upgrade is mandatory.

AFAIK, all russian devs are rude. But whenever they do something really rude, the information usually filters to us. Like it has happened multiple times with gaijin and WG HQ. No such thing has happened with the WoWS developers, and overall they seem nice and interested in the game. They do commit some blunders from time to time, but at least they seem to be putting in more effort than WG itself ever did with WoT.

That guy just sounds massively butthurt because he's bad, and has to blame everybody who hits him as a cheater. There ARE aim cheats in the game, but they're not 100% reliable and massively overblown. They don't make much of a difference, specially if the target is good and makes evasive maneuvers. A bad player will still be shit. A good player will hit his targets anyway without aim assist. The most important thing in this game is map awareness and good decision making, which no amount of cheats can make up for.

Yes, WG has made mistakes. No, they are not a great company and a lot of their decisions leave something to be desired from a customer's perspective. Things are still broken, ships/tanks unbalanced, etc.

Prior to 1.37 planes in WT were unlocked by ranks (sort of like tiers) by nation, 1-20. If you reached a certain rank of a nation, all planes of that rank were unlocked.

Most prem planes were also a fraction the cost of their WoT equivalents.

Unfortunately this wasn't jew enough for Gaijew since older players would get new planes for free.

They changed it so that you had to unlock each plane individually like in WoT, and the time required to unlock a single plane was almost as long as an entire rank in the previous system.

Grind is now even worse than WoT, and to make it worse since a lot of the planes/tanks are the same with minor difference. For example something like half to two-thirds of the American medium line is Shermans, all of which require separate unlocking, including basic modules.
