There is a Pearl Store item that costs 1500 Pearls that give a lot of bonus and lasts a month I believe, one of the bonus is a 30% reduction on the tax.

You can also get a Loyalty version of that item but only lasts a week.

Black desert is one the most gear dependent MMO's and gear = how good your character is.
Having a pet looting for you or having an outfit which hides your name does not give you any advantages in combat at all, and pets been giving out for free also.

Before if you would actually wanted to get geared you HAD to grind a lot to compete with others, you had to dedicate time to the game. Now that's all gone.

For me an MMO is all about progression and develop/upgrading your character by dedicating time and effort on it and playing on a massive world with people on the same playing field makes this a tons of fun as a can compete fairly with them(outside of Grind members that bots and exploits) but now the feeling of progression and competitiveness is all gone when all you have to do is buy some costumes on the cash shop and sell instead of actually playing the game and put effort into the game. I have zero motivation to grind when I know that I could rather work for 1 day than spend a week/month grinding and it would net me the same silver.

If you have storage expension it mean you don't have to spend as much contribution to expand you city storage and can use that contribution on node that will give you money. So you make more money than someone without and can buy gears faster than they do.

This game is even p2w with character slots. If you have character slot you can have much more energy that you can directly make into money. You make more money than someone who didn't pay and can buy better gears.

The point is the game always rewarded people that payed for stuff allowing then to be more effective or pay less silver (after all, what Costumes do is lower costs and speed XP grind), the argument about this being p2w revolves around someone selling pets and costumes for silver ... that means if silver is p2w then it been there from the start because that is what pets, weight, inventory and costumes did ... after all didnt Conqueror Pack allowed a week head start allowing people to be level 50 when people that didnt drop $100 werent even allowed to play the game yet?

p2w is something that is thrown a lot and most often entirely wrong, at best you are using a roundabout way to get silver because none of it allows you to "win" ... certainly not over people that buy all of the mentioned and have a clear advantage over silver generation, Conqueror Pack that got a whole week ahead ...

If it basically means the game is selling silver, I don't really care. BDO is a terribly balanced game that's based on who can no-life the most. It's hardly worth trying to be competitive over.

I don't feel proud for them at all and am glad other people can get their 99 Agility and Prayer and so on much easier and faster than I did through updates bettering the rates of xp or even the cash shop xp boosts, though I myself see no need to buy any boosts since I don't see a reason to compete. I'm fairly casual and I don't really care about being at the top. It's more or less the principle.

Silver is the most important thing in the game to get you to progress. If I can just buy silver, I can buy all the gear I want, which means grinding and actually playing the game to acquire gear is stupid.

"Don't want to play the game? Just pay!" It's the easy way out and it completely diminishes the fun of the game. It's like paying for stars in Mario 64. It's like paying to get all the Deviant gear in Monster Hunter Generations. It's like paying the game to be dropped off at the endboss who'll just drop dead and give you his loot just before the credits roll.

Cash shops will never properly work in an MMO because they will always diminish the value of the content within the MMO.
