Bows charge like GS, depending on what charge you use, you fire different arrows. Just tap the attack button to fire the first charge which in this case is Rapid Lv2, second charge for stronger Rapid Lv2, and final charge for Rapid Lv3.

The longer the charge the bigger the damage, and usually the charge numbers go up too. Like Rapid 2 goes to Rapid 3.

Number just defines the number of hits per attack.

Rapid fires a small group of arrows that spread vertically, great for breaking parts.

Spread does the same shit but horizontally, pretty good for breaking parts too and easier to hit fast moving targets or just shooting quickly in the general direction.

Pierce is pierce, goes through the monster and deals multiple hits as it goes. Good for shooting at weak, hidden spots like Nibelsnarf's mouth.

Arc Shot is the special shot type, either a smaller more focused AOE or bigger AOE.

You can use the coatings that are highlighted in the weapon stats, the ones that are greyed out are unusuable unless you skill them in.

Some bows get boosts on certain coatings.

How far in are you? You typically get Load Up from the barrage earring by completing the entire arena on A which isnt hard at all. Getting a set with all of it is going to require being HR unlocked. If you arent to that point I'd consider working on a generic Element Atk Up and that earring for Load Up. That way you can still get more mileage from Rapid Elemental S shots until you get the guns with Pierce Elem S. Getting Trueshot Up is much later on.

I believe the lines you wanna go down for weapons are the Zamtrios, Plesioth, Angel Parasol, and maybe the Blossomayhem for fire since the Fire Pierce S2 gun is still DLC locked.

They dont deflect necessarily, but often times spots that are strong to shots deal even less damage than blunt/bladed weapons. So although you wont typically see your bullets bounce it'll basically be doing garbage damage just like a dull weapon.

There's a severe lack of para weapons in this game. Deathprize + Blunt is pretty good, but I really wish there was a decent paralyze HH, LS, or hammer. Heck there isn't even a decent DB.

On Kiranico where it has the scales for monsters, like Stagger and Attack, is that the scale for the monster to inflect onto the player? Like if it has a 1.5 scale on attack, it does 1.5 more damage than it normally would.

You don't understand, para hammer was incredible in MHFU. Triple pound all day, the monster is constantly either KO'd or paralyzed. It was the most satisfying thing ever. It hasn't been endgame viable in a long time, though, last was MHTri with the flower hammer, but that was really only good at the very beginning of HR since it was basically missing a final upgrade...

So far, I've crafted a decent array of elemental switch axes, except for dragon.

I've read that both Mundus Regius (130 raw damage, 60 dragon/elemental phial) and Akantor Divider (250 raw, 15 dragon phial, abysmal sharpness) are "good" suggestions.
