I don't remember all of it, but F 2nd was far worse to plat because of unlocking shit from the songs. There were some stupid requirements like getting 3939 combo notes in I'm gonna miku miku you or some shit like that, or having a random number in miss / sad / safe / good / cool. The first one wasn't half as bad, you could also spam gifts and raise their friendship like that. X apparently is even worse to plat because modules randomly drop in songs now.

It's a lot better than it was in Beta, From the Beta Thorn is actually playable and they fixed her face a bit so it's less Brianna Wu and more angry elf, closer to her concept art.

If it had launched in this condition, they probably wouldn't have had to fight so much to get people to play it. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to play it though, if you can get it for free or cheap it's the best way to play it.

Oculus and PSVR are two different things. At launch, if you're not interested in any indie and "experience" titles, you still have Cowwa Doode Farter warfaire, Driveclub VR, and Ace Combat 7, Resident Evil 7, which are all AAA titles and cover majorit of gamers because FPS/Racing/Flight/Horror

Then you have games like Rigs which is basically a mecha combat esport fusion. Golem which is for lelexploration. EVE valkyrie for your space combat.

Then you have the smaller couple hours long experiences announced at E3 to sell people on the headset like Batman Arkham VR, Battlefield X-wing VR, Battlezone.

Hell, even No Man's Scam is gonna be PSVR compatible.

To add to this, Sony is sinking a lot of money into third party developers making sure this doesn't become just a gimmick.

God knows unlike the playstation eye or playstation move, this thing sold enough pre-orders alone to guarantee at least a healthy number of titles coming out around launch. The userbase will be there, the titles are already bought up by Sony to make sure everyone will have something in the launch window coming out for them (So between october and february) Its all up to people now, if they like it and buy these titles, more WILL come. And people will by more titles if the ones that are offered in the launch window end up being fun and don't induce any strain or nausea, etc... Which, at least according to previews and people that went to different expos and demos, won't be an issue.

Oculus and Vive owners have $1500+ worth of equipment to play $20 games made by tiny indie teams.

And with Valve showing no interest in funding games (except giving out small interest free loans to indies) and Facebook having zero game development experience I don't see that changing.

VR is definitely taking off at some point. I don't think its gonna be like one of those "OMG ITS LIKE IM LITERALLY ALIVE" experiences, but its at a minimum required point to be successful, which is to give people a sense of presence within the game world. HTC is a hardware maufacturer, they have no interest in developing anything beyond the basic devkit for the software, they've already proven they're not going to pay anyone to make games for the platform.

Steam incentivized some developers by waiving fees for VR titles as well as providing loans to VR devs, basically incentivizing.

So while the other two basically were making their VR headset with the caution to the wind mentality of "If you build it, developers will come". Sony was actually making sure that they have the foundation as well as the content.

What you do have so far are the general gimmick games which come out with every console/peripheral with some bullshit going on, the sort you use for 5 minutes when you get the device and then drop it after that, and then stuff like racing games, horror games and flight sims.

To be honest mileage will vary per person, I think VR is nifty as shit but I can't justify the price tag. Being able to freely look around while playing something like Assetto Corsa is really nice, means you can actually just about lean into corners and stuff. Ace Combat 7 should be fun with it, never tried any plane things but it's a similar affect I imagine, also actually looking around your cockpit in the older games is hard as shit.

Start with trials. Complete all on normal. Its extremely easy. You will also learn what those gimmicks are. After that, do them on hard. Here is the biggest tip, you need to use the preset class that has the CONDOR, its a shotgun you purchase. It gives you 200 dollars a kill which is the easiest. After you are done with normal and hard trials, try a few crushing ones. They are mostly also easy but a couple hard ones you might want to pass for the minute and come back later.

Do you have a good phone? If you have, download the uncharted treasure hunter app. Use a youtube guide and complete all puzzles. You get keys, open chests.

At this point, you notice the purple relics, which are stuff you get with in the store. You also have uncharted points but those are the things you have to pay for. You have a cap of 10 thousand relic points. You can open chests with them.

After that, go in the multiplayer and just play i suppose. You should have an understanding at what most things do. Obviously, make your own custom loadout. You have 19 LP to start off with. You get a total of 26 LP, you get the points by unlocking stuff. Get a certain amount of long gun downs, pistol downs, heavy weapon downs etc. If there are things you wonder about, ask them here, im usually always here and i unlocked everything in the multiplayer already.

I hope The Tomorrow Children comes out soon. I'm really curious to see if it has a lot to offer beyond what was in the beta. There was a cage in the public alpha, which I was put inside for cutting down a fucking tree. You can turn off the long animations for Reserve Rush in the options, dunno if you have access to those yet. DD is fun but different, not much like it. Quite easy to accidentally wander into far too high level areas though. Frame rate is also a bit choppy PS3.

LA Noire is pretty generic rockstar game but with more emphasis on police stuff and interviews, probably one of their best games.

Time and Eternity is literal garbage.

L.A. Noire is a solid game, but I personally wanted a single case to investigate that really has layers upon layers, like a Thomas Pynchon novel or something. Instead it's a series of cases, and the gameplay formula grew stale for me. It's trying to do a lot: driving, shooting, fist-fighting, exploring, interrogating. The pieces don't always fit naturally, and you notice the formula after a while. But it's still entertaining--can't go wrong for the price now. There's a lot of Mad Men actors in it.

It's the kind of modern adventure game I'd love with thorough polish. Too bad the studio that made it had shitty working conditions, allegedly, because I wanted to see how Whore of the Orient would've turned out, if they'd learn from L.A. Noire. Maybe Rockstar will do their own successor though; they own the IP.

I've never had delusions about "finishing my backlog," when my backlog is defined by games I want to play. But I just want to finish games I've already bought on my ps4/vita. I'm going to take a few steps to ensure this happens.

I hope the berserk game is at least as good as the anime. So far it has been pretty dope, I hope they can keep the quality of the series like this.

I was fine with the bland story, its a JRPG after all.

I was fine with the fact you don't go to other planets, in spite of the fact its a fucking star ocean game.

Not even that anon but you're generalising so heavily it's untrue, some games can't be "beaten" you can keep playing them and there's games which take over 40 hours to complete, some people can draw hundreds of hours out of games trying to 100% them.

Games like memewatch, fighting games and racing games can't really be beaten, a lot of people play those inbetween other games therefore it takes longer to complete any other games.
