It's lose lose either way. You either take the risk and maybe just plain suicided in vain or you don't have an ult to help you survive. It's why people don't like Sion's and Kog's passives. They basically don't have a passive unless they die which they shouldn't be doing and it's very easy to just dodge them most of the time. Karthus is an exception since he can still use skills, he basically becomes untargetable for a bit instead of a shitty bomb that might not even do anything if it doesn't reach it's target

- Make him even more boring to the point not even Malz players like him
