Yes, but in the late game you sometimes end up wasting mana with ritual. Also the new card allows to wait for the juggles to unfold and then react. Also it's better against the warrior guhl.

I just bought a box of Eldritch moon. Got literally everything except Liliana and some really expensive foils. Everyone at my LGS was really helpful since it was my first time. Thoughts on Barnes in hunter? Between Bat, Grandma, Infested Wolf, Highmane and maybe squeezing in a sylvannus as your primary minions he's at least going to pull something of value with a chance to pull something stupid.

Since you can make up the rest of your minions with companions and call the only bad things he could pull would be a houndmaster or whatever your teching in for a 5 drop.

Main problem is that I can get it at all. Its just not consistent. The possibility of getting disciple of Cthun from scarab is also dumb. Cthun cards should be part of draft or not part of arena at all. Some classes like priest got penalized by getting two good Cthun cards which they cant get in draft which just make probability of getting power word: tentacles higher.

Am I doing it right?

I'm still not really sure about the efficacy of ritual btw, which is even more compounded by my beating several zoo mirror matches where they played 1 or even 2 of them within a game and I still beat them. I just sorta think the classic old school style where I dump my hand with efficient creatures and use attack buffs to trade up or just straight-up kill the opponent is more effective. I'd rather be constantly playing out a bunch of cards until I get to the point where I can tap every turn and play 2 things until my opponent dies, I've never really wanted to just flood the board with 1/1's while being able to do nothing else, except in situations where I'd probably lose anyways.

I mean, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but "zoo is a control deck" as the old meme goes. You control the board with minions that often have some method of 2-for-1'ing (divine shield, deathrattle or battlecry that makes another dude or gives you something to kill an extra one of their dudes) and attack buffs to trade up your weenies for their big guys. You eventually overwhelm them and blast them in the face for lethal when the time is right. You dump your hand so doomguard generally has little to no drawback when you finally play him, and when you're done dumping you play 2 things a turn with your hero power until they're dead.

Leeroy and Soulfire imply an aggro playstyle, which the deck is not. Doomguard is superior because of it's 7 health, meaning you can bust through enemy minions with it and it will usually survive. If you assume Doomguard's discard pretty much doesn't exist in zoolock, I'd rather have a 5/7 charge for 5 mana than a 6/2 charge that gives my opponent 2 1/1's, or a one-time 4 damage spell.

I mean they essentially do the same amount of damage on average (6+4 vs. 5+5) but they can't control the board that well like Doomguard. Doomguard is all things to the deck: a finisher, a board control card, and a large efficient body for the mana cost with a negligible drawback.

Yeah like I said I think it's a different style of deck. If I were gonna run it I'd probably run a full 2 sea giants and gormok, hell maybe even those 1/1's that buff a lot if the board if flooded enough. I probably wouldn't have room for brann or doomguards some other things in that case either.

Both are perfectly respectable of course, just different, though I've been generally beating the ritual decks in pseudo-"mirror matches" so I'm sticking with my own deck atm.
