I like to think so, at least. Most of them were developed alongside feedback from the thread, if, at times, not a terribly great deal; This was around the time the general was dying a slow death (and the mod was actually created in the first place to try to keep the community alive).

You can't find them out in the world yet, but you can get Beldehor villager and guard tenants.

don't hoard weapons for sentimental purposes and get rid of cosmetics you're not going to use. The latter are more common than you think and the money from selling all this adds up very quickly.

if you really want a big ship without worrying about crew shit, go explore planet surfaces instead of building bases.

You can literally do this on any planet because even t1 weapons are fairly valuable (t6 are worth more, yes, but there are biomes I was trying to find on lower tier planets, namely rainbow forests for grapes and oasis for kiwi/feathercrown). Clean out all the surface chests you find, loot everything from containers in towns since nobody cares, loot dungeons.

Poison oceans actually, from what I have seen, have the highest ratio of chest spawns near the bottom. You can't go 20 feet without finding another treasure chest.

you can mash for massive burst, you can alternate so you constantly have attacks going out, their reach and knockback isn't even that bad...

Thanks. I think it looks alright, the naturally-occurring sand piling up from sandstorms works nicely with it I think (though I have to sweep up sometimes) and it's in a naturally occurring dark biome on the planet. Plus it's the best I could do for a t6 planet, since I wanted a good colony.

Start with your ship. I was terrible at building in terraria too, though part of that is that you do not get anything to base your ideas off of. In starbound you should consider stuff like glitch castles, hylotl pagodas, etc. as things to get ideas from.

Building takes awhile and it isn't for everyone. There's no shame in starting off by redesigning existing buildings - the ruined hylotl pagodas are a fantastic opportunity for this if you like their design, evil glitch castles might work as well although their design past the lower level is kinda weird and hard to get between...unless you rebuild it.

Are there any reasons to go to those gateways in solar systems, the things that just lead to the outpost?

I can just teleport there from my ship, why should I bother collecting fragments to open those?

I eventually made it an ascetic monastery, then since they were asking me to make more rooms to expand the colony I made these polehouses and now nobody actually lives in the main temple. Gonna do some renovation soon.
