I did a thing.

Removed most of the interior walls from the interior of the Hylotl ship so you aren't limited to the predefined rooms and hallways.

Probably not a good idea to install this in an active game since most of the floors will disappear from your ship. The original floors between the Teleporter and the Pilot's chair are untouched besides the hole in the floor the vanilla game already does, so I guess you could pack everything up and store it over there, but storing off ship would be 100% safe.

I wish I knew how to mod, I'd do a total rehaul of how weapons work. Instead of retarded looking and retarded stat guns I'd make it a lot more like Borderlands. What Chucklefuck doesn't seem to understand is that Borderlands did have random guns, but there was a method to it. Bandit guns had high ROF, low damage, big clips, and looked like shit and were edgy. Jakobs were high damage, high accuracy, usually single-shot, and had a western look and feel to them. For Starbound it's just a mish mash of colors and awful looking guns designed by kids with horrible names. You should be able to look at a gun's name and manufacturer and be able to assume something about it rather than "here's this retarded looking machinepistol called Sinnermatic Shootytooty"

It's my headcannon that Glitches have personality glitches (pun not intended) due to their disconnection to the Hivemind

G4-LV35 (in short Galves or G4) was a castle smithy when he felt his disconnection, he then became obsessed in acquiring and producing huge ammounts of weapons, of everykind

He blames the Protectorate for the destruction of Earth because they didn't fund his Planet Destroying Hand Held Cannon, it would "only" cost 28.5 Trillion Pixels, give or take a few

He wanders the Universe collecting, making, testing and selling weapons of all kind.
He dislikes Stationary weapons though, like cannons or Turrets. "What's the point of a weapon that you can't carry with you?"

Personality wise, he's pretty chill, but wouldn't be wise to get on his bad side for obvious reason's,He's not aggressive, he just like weapons and has little interest in things not weaponry related.

I wanted to come up with one through playing the game, but then I found out Chucklefuck scrapped most of the lore and made you the standard sci-fi hero/adventurer so I had to come up with something.

A human smuggler that wasn't really phased by the loss of earth. Owes a huge debt to Chucklefuck the Hutt, and is working to build his own hideaway while simultaneously working to pay off the debt before bounty hunters catch up with him.

Yua is a Hylotl that was pretty much just a naive city girl who decided there was more to life than living under the fucking ocean and decided to join up with the human while he raids ancient ruins and burial grounds for expensive things to pawn off.

I actually go on RP servers like the filthy degenerate I am, so my character has a fair bit of backstory. Basically he's a Floran who left his tribe for better pastures and has been reduced to a pathetic mess of trauma and paranoia. To date, he has been shot, almost fatally stabbed in the neck, captured, beaten, blowtorch to the face, shocking implants applied to neck, forced to betray the people he cared about, lost his chief in a political assassination (She was a bitch who abused his trust anyway), was used as an unstable guard dog by a dickish mayor, lost his job and became homeless, lost his new home when a Floran invasion wrecked it, had to kill two child Florans in self-defense, was used as the manservant of a sociopathic Glitch businessman, escaped to another sector, was stolen from, beaten repeatedly, and was captured by Hylotl extremists to be killed, but he was so good at groveling for his life they just lit him on fire as a warning to the others. After that he was beaten and stabbed a few more times but its gotten a little bit better for him and he's slowly recovering. Unless something else happens.

He's been so messed up he can't bring himself to be violent or even that assertive anymore, cringing and whimpering whenever threatened with violence. In addition, his treatment by his own people (like a third of his injuries were caused by Florans) have caused him to lose faith in his species. He does his best not to make friends with other Florans because he figures any floran friends he makes will just die in a couple months so its a pointless effort. Honestly he would have offed himself if it weren't for a combination of his crippling fear of the unknown and the support of the friends he's managed to make. Plus medication, lots of that.

Sir Malkaveer VX is the 15th of his lineage (Or something like that, i lost count on how many times i've remade him with wipes and glitches, no pun intended, and whatnot). usually pieces together with scraps of the previous version, allowing him to maintain some of the memories from previous wipes with large grey areas of missing memory chunks. Keep the staffs if they're level 6 or your last one with healing zone, keep at least one rocket spear if you have one and also an energy whirl spear if it's got good attack, otherwise I'd sell all those. Purple represent uniques and the best weapons. The only non-staff non-spears worth keeping if you aren't actively using them really are uniques/legendaries.

Purple border doesn't automatically mean good, mind you, but it probably means you want to keep it for novelty regardless.

They remove the holiday crafting table from being crafted by the regular crafting table, but if you already have them or use other methods (see: mods, /admin) to obtain them anytime, then they will still function as normal. You'll just not be able to get the mat drops to make anything without using similar methods. Of course with /admin you could just spawn the items you wanted to craft in the first place to forego needing yet another crafting table and materials.

It isn't people expecting something else when Chucklefish actually decided to put a story based around an ancient evil eyeball awakening before the freedom of building and exploring, while removing a bunch of techs for no real reason and nerfing the existing techs, and completely rewriting the lore and racial interactions so that everything starts the same. Instead of rebalancing racial abilities, they completely removed them.

There are legitimate flawed decisions that tick me off with vanilla. They removed a ton of quests from the Outpost for no particular reason, too. If anyone ever asked for Esther's shitty story, then I hope they're really happy with it. At the very least, the ore progression isn't handled in the same way as it was three years ago, now that Aegisalt, Violium and Ferozium are separated rather than just leading into each other.

Exploration and progression are no longer dependent in any way upon the story beyond the erchius quest, where they always were before. In fact it's the other way around, the main quest requires you to explore to scan shit.

Are there any planets worthy of being mined with minimal danger and hardly any obstacles?

A lot of the outpost quests were terrible though and having to do all of them every tier in order to progress was awful even the first time through.

Side note: I wish there was a way to run into other players a lot easier since the universe is so big. I know you can chat and link up or party invite, but I want to run into random players, because it makes the adventure element that more interesting.
