The way you understand "zoning" makes the whole concept arbitrary. In your reasoning, every character is a great zoner, because every character can punish, and hence Juri is as good zoner as Guile and Ryu.

I don't want to keep arguing this whole day, but if a new player asks for a zoner character and you tell him to play Juri because she has a DP, I think you just miss something.

No one is a zoner in SFV besides Guile. Everyone else is constant aggression and mixups. Even Guile wants to get in the moment he has v-trigger.

Just because a character can attempt to zone certain characters doesn't mean he's proficient at it, or he's meant to do it as Juri in this game clearly isn't.

I just clocked 500 hours in Guilty Gear XRD, i 've played nothing but Xrd for the last 6 months, i've been unable to beat any characters challenges, and i ALWAYS lose online. Now if that is the case that means there is a much larger problem in the community that needs to be addressed. It's... decent. I feel like this is a situation where both supporters and haters overblow how the game is. It's not great, but it's not bad either.

I would argue that SFIV had some polish on specific aspects but honestly I wouldn't go back to setplay: the game and a game with the Focus Attack mechanic.

Honestly the only problems I have with the game is the lack of damaging anti airs, tiny limbs and bad hitboxes. I believe that if these problems were fixed the neutral would improve tenfold and I'd enjoy the game immensely.
As it is now it's just an exercise in frustration

After knee smash, ex elbow, or reversal, he can dash in andand mix you up, but those arent his most used tools, like Mika has going for her. Every time Mika touches you.
