Would be pretty quick. Complete a campaign, get some hero armour, buy some minis. You'd probably want to buy the complete collection or w/e though, because it's still a great game in its own right and you may end up playing it beyond those 6 points.

ranger is basically a non-class without druid

As a note to your post, I would say that the condi Druid rotation requires much less awareness on the player's end. For WvW, you could also bring bunker if you're in a squad, or condi with a cancer stat like Trailblazer's.

Necro is good, it has a niche role in raids and it's a best in fractals. Necro stacking on fracs is the new crutch.

What's a good NA server for WvW? Does the VG guild do WvW a lot or what?

Also I'm new and coming back looking for a group to WvW with and generally an active WvW community 24/7

I'm on Borlis Pass and the WvW is trash and nothing else in this game is fun to me but WvW is phenomenal.

The NA /vg/ guild is mostly TC, which is pretty full but tough to get into, but there are some people that WvW, but no set groups or anything, it might be a good idea to stick around the guild and make some friends who do WvW, and maybe join a more dedicated guild for it. Again, it's mostly TC as the OP mentions.

the minions are only ~2k more dps when I tested it, not sure if its changed

also condi gives you more access to mobility(like doing the lightning on VG, condi necro also used as a ghost holder for Gorseval as some examples), since you can be anywhere with scepter, so the comparable dps actually favors condi in that scenario

what rotation are you even doing to compare, because I would hit 20k condi, and only like 17k power

and this was with ALL buffs which is really unreasonable

poison cloud, BiP, epi, scepter 4 3 2 deathshroud 5 4 (because deathly chill has no icd now and it's the best use of whirl finish) scepter 5 and then spam shit off cooldown for 25 seconds until ready to do a another shroud rotation

also my shoulders and boots are exotic carrion because I don't have enough raid tokens to complete the set, but fuck that's only like 40 expertiese and 40 precision less then ascended vipers in those slots.

With all buffs (unreasonable edition) and no food/tuning crystal I got 17k dps overall on the 4mil health dummy. I may have fucked up the rotation once or twice and not fully utilized the whirl finisher but that won't be much more then an extra 1k dps overall

full vipers, curses/bm/reaper

my rotation is

poison cloud > BiP > (wait for cripple to wear off) > dagger 4 >scepter 3 > spam scepter 1

couldnt use epi cause its just golem, no use putting weakness on yourself for dps test

I summon lich whenever its off cooldown, and have heal minion summoned at the start of the fight

I didnt have food either, I forgot

I'm about to try condi rotation with 2 and 5 thrown in, but im not convinced its good dps, and then ill try power necro

the minions do help a bunch if your healer can keep them healed, but the main reason we've been bringing necro lately is because of the epidemics clearing all of the boss adds easily, especially with multiple of them

You know what you can see just by looking at it is that it only takes 3/4ths of a second to cast and does 6 times as much damage as a single scepter autoattack which takes half a second

It honestly wouldn't be a problem if their utility and survivability matched that of the other top dps classes. Also note that the rotations of other classes are much simpler.
