Even appearance change is a little pricey at 1000 crowns ($10)

For comparison an appearance change costs just over $4 worth of gems in GW2 and a name change costs $10 worth (and you can buy gems for in game gold), and there's a bundle that costs about $12.50 worth of gems to do both.

I am almost at cp160, so it's probably time to start thinking about gearing. What sets do I want as a dps magblade? I gather that pretty much everything mag uses Willpower jewelry set, but what else? I have 6 researched traits in all light armor, so that's the highest I can craft.

If you've ever played mtg or Hearthstone it's similar. Runes discourage aggro though, be aware. You'll hit your opponent for 15 damage and give him 3 answers, it's a bunch of shit.

Items are good, make sure to look at everything when you craft, don't dust legends indiscriminately. Blue red is a good start, good mix of creatures, weapons and spells

ESC -> Settings -> Addon Settings
will give you most of the controls over addons you've installed. Many UI addons come with their modules "locked", so this is where you go to unlock them to move them around. When unlocked, just exit all menus and enter cursor mode look at your keybindings to see what button it's bound to, if you don't know and move them. Some addons you can just move around from cursor mode straight away

Farm cloth and ore from 160 zones like you would any other cloth or ore. Farming leather in Old Orsinium if you have the DLC is a really quick way of getting that. Farmin Tel Var stones in IC sewers is another good way of getting leather since you can trade in stones for leather.

As someone who needed about 750 pieces of the leather, it turned out surprisingly easy to get. If you put 10 points into clothing to make it so all your 160 leather drops are rubedo, you'll get the leather you need in no time once you have a good farm spot (seriously, the second area in Old Orsinium with the bears, harpies and epauls or whatever, is like 3-400 an hour).

I am leveling up and every time I get these in the random queue I get fucked by the first boss because new and too much damage to deal with. And then when we get people who are on champion levels things go smoothly, usually.

I bought 10,000 crowns when they were 40% off months ago and I've been buying DLC and all the worthwhile stuff with it. Still have 4000 left and I have no problem with these prices. A lot of the stuff is cheap, costumes are cheap, DLC is pretty cheap, mounts are cheap maybe the stuff like the exotic racial motifs are expensive but they're also available in game.

The combat system wasn't well though out or balanced. I think that like a lot of the flaws in the game, it was because it was rushed.
My favorite build was conjuration/illusion so that I didn't actually have to use the combat system.

There's not player housing yet. You don't really show off stuff you've picked out. You show off by your gear, etc, like any other MMO. I man I guess you can hoard things, but there's really no reason to. There's collectibles that drop from battles and monsters but they're not worth anything.

Playing ESO for the last week or so has only made me want to replay through oblivion again. Oblivion is the TES game I liked the most out of all the ones I have played so far (3,4,5 and the MMO) because it was just so comfy to walk around the countryside and slay bads while collecting ayleid gems to power my magical shit. By comparison skyrim was a paint-by-numbers mess that actively made me despise it the more I played because of its lack of vision and boring atmosphere over all.

The game could have benefited a lot by going further along the epic mountain climbs route, by having a larger universe over all and by having a larger variety of enemies especially undeads but eh.. all in the past now. Oblivion did one thing right which was an experimentation with alternate worlds like painted world, oblivion hellscape and ayleid dungeon diving which were all completely distinct environments totally separate from each other and complimenting the otherwise quite bland actual world of Cyrodiil which tbqh could have benefited from a greater density of foliage. One area in particular of the overworld which stuck out to me was the southern side of the map SSW side where there's this valley I would go to collect poison alchemy ingredients and this location felt perfect.

So is this game fun? Like does it play like an elder scrolls game? Can I enchant and what not?

I haven't played very far in to TESO only just got off Auridon after about 15 hours or so but from what I can see aside from making your own spells you can do pretty much anything in TESO that you can in the other games.

Infact if I had to rate gameplay value for TESO I would deduct points for that simple reason alone, customised spell crafting was one of the best features from the singleplayer games but I can understand why it wouldn't really work in an MMO.. under their current design parameters. A better designed game could have allowed for custom spells but you won't ever see with TESO which is if I'm honest just a completely generic fantasy MMO with TES flairs.

Pick one and go with it.

But if you expect to do ANY content with any measure of difficulty involved, you will not be using a bow on your main damage bar. you finish your main story and fighters/mages guild, if you've been lazy. after main story you will get access to the other two faction zones and all their quests.

Actually you get access to the other zones when you hit 50 whether or not you have finished the main quest line or gotten Cadwell's quests.
