I logged onto Warmane Icecrown (That's http://www.warmane.com/ if you are curious) and everything was so smooth it really made me feel I've gone back to the golden days of WoW! Everything was perfectly scripted and the people spoke English very well! The server was packed with thousands of players, more players than Atlantiss even.

I recommend Warmane Icecrown as the best WoTLK experience.

I want to play on a good TBC server so I can experience the original naxx again along with all the TBC raiding (kara, TK, SSC, BT, etc.).

I cleared all of the TBC raids when they were relevant pre-nerf, and in vanilla got up to c'thun and cleared 5 bosses in 60 naxx.

I'm pretty damn casual now, so I would like to raid like for a few hours on the weekend or something.

Attention everyone,

We have decided on the date we will be rolling on Excalibur and it will be...August 3rd!

Now, the guild (name TBA) will officially be Horde; however, if you are on the autism spectrum and simply must play Alliance, luckily for you Excalibur has crossfaction grouping so it will not be an issue.

Additionally, the guild will be progressive (meaning we will start from T4 and once that has been cleared we will move on to T5 and then T6) but we have decided not to enforce any limits on gear this time around. Once again, if you find yourself somewhere on the autism spectrum and just can't live with yourself if you wear a piece of gear that might be inappropriate for the content you are raiding then you are very welcome to limit your gear on your own.
For everyone else: come to raids wearing anything you like.

That's all I have for now, more details will emerge as things get sorted out among the guild leadership.

There's a lot of reasons. Here's three:

1. Gear doesn't matter as much in TBC and the "catch up" gear in TBC isn't nearly as overpowered as it is in other expansions.

2. To make things easier and more accessible for everyone (having to gather hundreds of badges to purchase essential gear every raid tier is indeed a barrier for a lot of people) and ensuring that the guild actually gets to clear the content it sets out to clear.

3. /wpsg/ just isn't that good when it comes to 25m raiding. We believe that removing gear restrictions will give us a lot of breathing room.

There are very few servers that have AQ even open, let alone a well scripted example. Fewer still have Naxx open, and none have a good Naxx.

Kronos is the only option right now but only BWL available and AQ is probably at least a year away given how slow Twinstar normally is and that they're dedicating so much time to a TBC server.
Elysium is opening up but will probably be DoA unless they actually advertise. Crestfall sometime next year.
