Reddit has occasional discussion but if you post anything outside the meta you'll get downvoted as hell. I've seen 2 posts saying the exact same in different words where one got downvoted into hide and the other got upvoted.
OF is ok for discussion if you're trying to get attention of the devs, ok yes it's a huge hugbox but if you aren't trying to get dev attention don't bother. Mods will also ban you for the littlest thing.

So yea, id say use a bit of each rather than abandon all of them for 1. Reddit is the best source of info anyways, OF is the best place to make complaints public so devs see it and xivg is a good place to vent out and have serious game discussion without repercussions.

Ironworks is a mix of allag gear with cid own design, it's not really outlandish.

Coil gear was all based on coil with bcob and scob gear being based on the overall looks of the map and fcob being based on the transformed body of nael.

I only have a problem with the Ironworks gear. Eorzea is a world inspired by olde fantasy and Allagan tech is something you'll rarely see in the game.

It's outlandish. The (heavy) Allagan set looks nice and even the Garlean empire outfits look like they belong to the game since it fits the setting and it's not very sci-fi, meanwhile Ironworks looks like it belong in another game.

Balmung is a social/RP server, not a content-clearing one. It's packed with people but clear numbers for savage are pathetic relative to the greater population. PFs of ex primals and stuff exist and are probably just as bad as they are anywhere else. If you want to raid (semi seriously or seriously) do not transfer to Balmung. If you want a populated server to hang out on or roleplay and are fine with doing content at a casual pace, come on over.

Legacy servers just mean they're servers players of version 1.0 were put in. It doesn't mean those servers are any good but Balmung is the most populated server overall and people do use the PF, it's usually packed. Don't expect to have an easy time finding people to do hard content with since it's an RP server.
