I appreciate Plat and above more now for being able to carry themselves out of clusterfucks like these. Unfortunately it's outright horseshit that there is nothing to truly award players who are willing to not only try their best, but try to bring out the best in their teammates as well. I didn't even flinch at Taric's insane toxicity, I just told the team to focus and then coached them. I encouraged risks for rewards when behind and congratulated our success as a team. I didn't react with anger or yell back because I know there's no point. I did the most I could with both my talents and my words. Even with the loss I enjoyed the game, but I have nothing to show for it. I seriously might as well just call toxic players cunts and suntan on my island all game because I get nothing for trying to make the game better for both me and other people. I won't, but motherfucker is it hard to convince myself it's worth it. Also fuck Honor, the only honors I got was from the enemy team.

I was bronze s1 and gold every other season until season 6. I decided to actually put in effort into trying to get better instead of playing mindlessly and got Plat easily. Since I've never fallen divisions my mmr just keeps going up and I'm constantly playing people better than me.

Last month I thought "damn these plats are good" now it's "damn these diamond 5s are good."

From what I've seen of higher diamonds though I don't imagine I can push farther than dia 5 or 4.

When I was playing in mid Diamond if I ever went on autopilot in a game for even a minute I would get taken advantage of and my mistakes punished

I literally always had to be constantly alert and thinking two steps ahead and making sure not to fuck up and make sure I was doing everything properly

I -am- a D5 monkey right now, though.

Like I said, I can't maintain a D3+ level of play without it being really taxing on me (not to mention all the other bullshit that DynQ brought this season with playing against Master smurfs, etc)

I could have just sat on D3 and probably only played decay games until the end of season, but really what does it matter, I kept playing and demoted out

I've only played since season 3 and didn't even get level 30 until preseason 4, when I started playing ranked. I've consistently ended higher each season than the last, so who knows maybe next season I can peak a little higher

Honestly if Riot brought back solo queue I think I would invest really heavily in getting good at this game again

You're a support. Prioritize your ADC's farm and he'll carry you. Save his life and he'll carry you. Sacrifice your life for him and he'll carry you. You're a support, that means you're a babysitter.
Learn from your mistakes and figure out what's bad positioning yourself, it takes a few games to get into.
If your ADC is way too fucking retarded to live, don't feed more than you need to. Only sacrifice your life if you're sure it'll save his. If he keeps feeding and getting into danger stupidly, roam and help those who really need a support to peel for them, in other words your fed carries.
Last hit needs good timing and it's different on every champ, learn to do it by loading a custom with only you in it. Go to mid, farm. Restart the game every time you miss one CS. You'll get good. Don't build attack speed in said custom until you know how to farm, that's cheating.

If you play Soraka: as long as you have health and mana, your lane partner cannot die. Unless he gets bursted really quick. Look at your teammates' health gauges and if they're low and likely to do something good (they're fed carries), press R to turn the tides.
Sona is retarded, buy Arcade Sona and play DDR with your keyboard. Use your spells and autoattacks wisely, every third spell empowers your auto with a different effect. Use Q-empowered auto for free poke. Use W auto to try and save the day in a trade. Use E auto to pick up a motherfucker running away when your ADC is slow, unless your Q can last-hit them.

Prioritize the role you play the most. Just look up "season 6 runes" and you'll probably find some standard rune pages for each role.
Runes are quite expensive because Riot Games are retarded so you'll have to wait a bit to get new champs.

I hope you already know how to use masteries, if so, also look up masteries pages. You get one point per level. For instance, you don't play Blitzcrank with Windspeaker's Blessing and you don't play Soraka with Thunderlord's Decree.

A large part of my climb through gold and Plat and into diamond was my map awareness. Junglers and bot lane are ALWAYS getting into shenanigans and 9/10 times going to help them is the right choice (Plat and above) for a midlaner sometimes even as a top laner.

Knowing the difference between a situation that can't be saved and a situation that can be saved takes a LONG time.

I can't get out of Silver, it just isn't possible. Stormraider's surge Jhin and GP with Exhaust, I always get mentally handicapped teammates.
