If Winston is supposed to be a pick class that jumps on sniper and supports why does his lightning hit multiple people?

If you ever engage multiple targets you are guaranteed to die because you can't out DPS anything in the game.

Why is his shield so fragile for it being so big? It completely defeats the purpose of having a big fucking shield.

Wouldn't it make more sense for a anti-support class to have the ramp up damage like poo in loo so he can actually kill supports?

It feels like they wanted a tanky point contester/beserker character and also a fat pick class at the same time but that would be too good so they made Winston a compromise.

I still have not touched this game in 3 days. After passing rank 70 the games get much harder and give me headaches I only solo queue. Due to the variable nature of player skill you will always feel like you get idiots on your team. 56 is alright, I wouldn't say 'good' until you hit 60 though. I got placed at 51 and have levelled out at around 40, so somebody who got good placements and won a few games from lucky matchmaking could get to 54 probably and be as shit as I am, so I don't think anything in the 50s should really be considered that good. How the hell am I supposed to defend anything in quick play on situations where the team is a herd of cats and communication is minimal? Do I pick an access point and stick with it? Do I go wherever there's trouble to add firepower to the team?
