Honestly I really didn't like the one Special Weapon per plane, lack of good A2G missions, and a pretty bad grind

Character interactions are annoying as fuck for the most part, story is beyond awful, plane grind. Gameplay wise it's good though, and this series is an arcade flight game, gameplay is super core to it.

The F-35B and C don't have internal guns.

I'm emulating 4 and sometimes I get some funky ground and sun glare texturing, plus the UI disappeared for mission 5 in third person. Are there any known fixes for these kinds of things or is it just my computer? I don't really emulate.

The only way to fix that is to emulate in software mode. This does all graphics rendering on your cpu which means if you don't have a beefy cpu you're shit out of luck. I have an i7 6700k at 4.5 GHz and it still doesn't run at full speed in third person. If you have a 5820k or 6800k you might be able to, the extra cores will help (but you will be using all 6 cores).

If you want to play in a window on your computer your best bet is honestly to buy a pcie capture card and plug your ps2 into it.
