They pretty much randomly cycle through all players present in the zone they have seen. This can be influenced by cat food skills, taunt, hammer provoke, and the bowgun silencer. Not a glitch. The game determines that the amount of turn ins you do at the box is based on the amount of cycles you performed and contributed. The game doesn't assume any logical person would turn something in 1 at a time normally. In terms of ammo bring materials for Pierce 1 and Pierce 2. Both are easy to acquire from trading and buying from the trade for cheap. Stock up on all fangs and claws when on sale. At least 1k+. Use the Maccao gun like that other guy said. It works for almost all LR encounters short of dromes. I think you can buy needleberry from the store, if so then bring the remaining mats you can hold for Normal S2.

to answer your question, yes, the yellow orange set gives you a combo song that grants both earplugs and wind press at once. it's a good song, but to segway to your question about the narga horn, the yellow orange set will feel lacking without atk up. the ele atk up can be ok with the right team comp, but atk songs are what push a group with a hh from good to great. HH suffers from low damage, which is compensated for with atk songs. the narga horn with its good starting damage plus an AuL song will be a welcome addition to any group

I find that I get asked for quality of life songs (stamina,wind,ears,tremors,abnormalstatus) pretty rarely. it's really only in cohesive groups. if that's the sort of environment your hunting in, then that yellow orange will see plenty of mileage
