The idea the the difficulty of Revelations lies in the balance of making the early game enemies stat powerhouses compared to the troops you are given is terrible balance compared to what Conquest throws at you. Ideally early game Revelations should play like early Birthright and then slowly transition in the mid game to mid game Conquest and then for the chapters after you get the entire group of C\characters from both Birthright and Conquest play like a mix of both Birthright(large amount of enemy troops) and Conquest(good skill distribution and AI for enemies) and maybe a couple gimmick maps.
